- We spent the day in Denali National Park and absolutely LOVED our time there! No matter how many times we visit the park, there is always something new to explore and see. We drove in to the park about 14 miles, saw a caribou, and then hiked the Savage River Loop trail. It was a GREAT 2 mile trail that ran next to the Savage River and provided amazing views. It felt so good to get outside and see more of the park than we have before. After that we grabbed lunch and explored the visitors center.
We ended our night at the Music of Denali dinner show at the Denali Village that is a part of the McKinley Chalet resort. It was SO much fun! lots of great food and laughter.
We then finished our trip the next day with lunch at Lynx Creek Pizza, shopping at the Christmas Cabin, and saying goodbye to the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge! What a great weekend getaway this was!

What a nice day in Denali! I loved seeing the scenery and wildlife. Chris can totally relate with Sherri's worst nightmare. He got called up on stage in Disneyland at the Golden Horseshoe and he decided it was either go big or go home. He did such a great job that people stopped him all day long in the park and told him how good he did. I told him that he missed his calling. 😂
Sherri Beth should do a photo book or postcards of Alaska and sell them😊
I was thinking the same thing!
Ice cream is for absolutely anytime of day! It’s basically milk which is a great protein and calcium source. You’re welcome.🍦
And thank you!
Should of mentioned that Sherri should use her photography to make a calendar to sell. I'm sure a lot of people would like a Legg life calendar, the proceeds could go towards another enjoyable cruise.
Denali is a bucket list item for us. We have done an Alaska cruise and loved it. Pro tip for hiking, always carry a camera or binoculars so when you get tired you can stop and take a picture or look at something. You don’t have to admit you need another break because you’re looking at something, lol! I have used this excuse more times than I care to admit. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Such a fun series! Thanks for focusing on the bird for a while. I didn't see him until the very last second and was so glad when I did - so pretty!
Thanks, as always, for bringing us along on your adventures!
I loved this video tour of Denalli Park. So wonderrful to watch your videos.
We were completely expecting you to lay down next to that bear! 🤭 Loved the video!! We were in Eagle River last weekend visiting family. The weather was perfect, just like in your video. Back home in Florida now and missing beautiful Alaska!!!
A other great video… looks like a longer vacation … but I know from personal experiences that these short getaways are the best… so fun .. love you guys
Your videos of Alaska are so helpful. We found your channel looking for videos about Prince Cruise vacations and have fallen in love with both of you. We have planned several excursions on our upcoming cruise because of your videos. We booked our hotel in Vancouver because of one of your recent videos. Our cruise includes a land tour and Denali Nation Park is a highlight of the land portion. Thank you for sharing your adventures with all of us. They are greatly appreciated!!!
This means SO much! Thank you! We love hearing that our videos are helpful!
Thanks for a great video in Denali Park. Loved it.
You should have called it a night cap! I do love duck farts.
Great guys, brought back good memories from August 89. Did the Denali park tour up to mile 85. Your accommodation was better than ours we were camping in tents! Still lots of fun. The local pub got a fews dollars from as all.
I love your heart glasses Sherri. Another beautiful video.
Another nice sunny day in Denali!
Awesome trip. Thanks for sharing with us. May have to go some day.❤
We went to the dinner theater when we were in Denali. We loved it!
I bet it's stunning out there when the fireweed is in bloom. I've eaten Ptarmigan but have never seen one in the wild. 😊
I'll be back when it reopens! Thanks for taking us along!
We're so excited for the road to reopen!
Greetings! We follow your channel, and couldn't help but notice you guys on the Denali Hike that day. We were the family that passed you guys, and I think you heard me recognize y'all😂Love the videos, keep up the good work!
HI! Ha! That’s so funny, yes, we absolutely remember! Next time we pass randomly on a trail at a national park, let’s chat! 😂
Sherri is looking incredible.
Thank you for another wonderful video. My wife and I will take your recommendation and try the Comfy chair by the fire next Thursday

Great trip, sorry you weren't able to stop at MPL.
Thank you for another great blog!
Got to do the whole road a couple weeks before it closed and thoroughly enjoyed it
I still love Fannie Q's for the breakfast buffet. I had Biscuits and Gravy at that place with eggs and sausage.
We heard such great things about the breakfast buffet at Fanny Q's! I'm bummed we didn't try it out
I would love to visit there
It should definitely be on everyone's list! It's just beautiful!
So proud of myself one of my goals this was to read 10 books im on book 8 so far you and sherri made reading fun again for me i thank u for that and all 10 books are fredia books too
Good job! Thats amazing!
Thank you for reflecting on the difficulty of managing trails and other parts of your adventures for those of us who have mobility issues--very helpful for planning our visits!!❤
You're very welcome :)
Have to watch out for those Savage River ground squirrels. They will try and catch a ride home with you. I have had multiple try and get into my car. Just as the mew gulls like to ride on the hood of peoples cars
Such an awesome video!!!
Nice vlog as always. Wondering if I can walk from Denali Visitor Center to the restaurant The Overlook. Google says yes but I will have limited time. Arriving at 12 from Fairbanks and departing at 4. I try to plan my short visit as best
Omg I just posted earlier abt how we are the same person but then I saw Adam just comment how you don’t like bell peppers on pizza! Uhhhhh add that to the list 🤯
Aww! We just left there 2 days ago. Would have loved to have met you!
We stayed at the same lodge.
Awww! We checked out on Sunday
We will be there next week land tour before cruise. Can’t wait to explore Denali
SO fun! I hope you enjoy your trip!
Love this panoramic views with that camera
It was such a beautiful location! Totally surrounded by mountains!
Girl, you and I are the same person. The flower pics, the not so much of a hiker, the I am not comfortable speaking in front of ppl or talking w strangers, the staring at the window at gorgeous scenery for hrs like a dog thing, the no bright lights, not a morning person thing….I can go on and on. It’s kinda scary 😱
Another fun adventure!
Thank you! We certainly had fun :)
First hello legglife family
Hi guys! Again.. another great video for us to use for our upcoming trip. I wanted to know if you could get cell service along that drive/ in the Park? I’m always a little nervous driving places I’ve never been and want to be able to use my Apple car play/ maps.
Good question! We had cell signal around the visitors center, but once we got into the park we lost it quickly. I also know it depends on service providers. I would expect to not have it most places in the park. Even the drive from Anchorage to Denali there are several times there is no service.
Train Anchorage - Denali is nice. Good views. Good food. Several eyes watching for wildlife. But: you are on someone else's schedule. Shuttle from the Denali train station to any hotel will be with several others, some with incompatible personalities. Almost all travelers were nice but when your seat is too close to a loud know-it-all wind bag, private transportation would have been worthwhile. Pack a little more patience when traveling with a crowd that you cannot always walk from. Even with the rudeness and bad manners encountered, the train trip was a good experience.
I could see why that trail was marked moderate. The rocks in the path could be potential trip hazards and anyone using a walking mobility aid, such as a sturdy walker would’ve found it difficult. And I totally understand how mountainous areas just are difficult to photograph or do a video blog to pick up all the colours. I don’t know whether it’s an atmosphere or what it is, but I grew up in Alberta, very close to the Rockies and my photos never did justice to what my eyes were saying.
Yes, it's somehow just so much better in person!
I was on that loop trail a few days ago after hours of rain. Rocks were slippery and where there was no rock, it was muddy and slippery. If there was a slight pitch, I could not stand still. I would slowly slide.
Pizza and duck farts sounds great etc.
It definitely was great!
Well Adam, did you buy any Bells ?
Ha! No bells this time!
With February 2nd being Marmot Day in Alaska, we are yanking your Alaskan Card on February 2nd, 2025 so you can take remedial Alaskan classes.
Ahahahaha! I'll never forget Marmots again!
Nice vlog as always. Wondering if I can walk from Denali Visitor Center to the restaurant The Overlook. Google says yes but I will have limited time. Arriving at 12 from Fairbanks and departing at 4. I try to plan my short visit as best
The restaurant at Overlook was so good!!! The walk up to the Overlook is pretty steep!
