So If you get in the queens court at a state pageant do you get a silver sash the says "miss *city you live in*"
Rhobi Manamba Yes, but you have to pay for it yourself. Usually if you don't decide to enter the all american pageant, you won't buy a silver sash. But if you do. so AA, it's nice to be able to have a sash and crown to wear to the events at nationals.
Since there is no prize package for appointed queens, nationals can get pricy so if a girl is appointed as state queen, is she required to compete at nationals?
You're right about that. If an appointed queen for the Miss division or a state that does not have a physical pageant, cannot attend nationals, her first runner up will be appointed as the new state queen and go in her place to nationals.
If you had already completed your year as the state queen but have not aged out of your age division, are you qualified to apply for an appointed title to complete in the All-American competition? (Miss division)
Yes, you can compete for All-American in that case. You don't have to wait till the Miss division to do this anymore. Now they allow all age divisions to compete for All-American, the year after they held a state title, within the same age division. So, if you were 13, and won your jr. Teen state title in 2018, and competed for NAMiss Jr. Teen, then you can return to nationals in 2019, and compete for All-American Jr. Teen.

I think so because it's on of your "duties" as a state title holder if you can't go then the 1st runner up takes your place.
Do cover girls get the same prize packages as the state queens?
BubbleTae no, I think when girls sell ads they get things like a hotel stay. But they don’t actually get a prize package like a state or national queen.
What's the difference between National Cover Miss/Model/Girl?
Those are all advertising titles. The difference is the rank. I forget which is highest, but it's decided upon how many pages are sold in the program book.
Are city queens required to complete a full year reign?
City queens aren't required to do anything during the year, not even attend nationals. It's just an option.

They have some different age qualifications, areas of competition, and prize packages.

Only difference is the number of ads you sell.

Yes, if you're a state finalist, you compete at state. Runners up to the state queen title can compete for the All-American title. The state queen competes for the National American Miss Title at nationals.

What is the difference between cover miss and top model?
+caiticupcake101 Top model is actually an optional contest. It is a live photoshoot competition that the judges sit in on. Then they review your images. Cover Miss is an award you'd receive for selling advertisements in the program book.

Why does it seem that the all american are on the covers and ads more this year?
BabyBlue03 Hi!! It's just marketing, sometimes you'll see National American, some times All-American. There are only so many mags and covers to be featured on, so it really just depends on the year.
As a first time pageant mom I am finding myself confused about to approach people and asking if my daughter can attend their events.
If there is an event happening an easy way to reach out is by finding the email for the event organizer on their website or social media. If you can't find that, use what ever email you can find from them and let them know that you'd like to arrange an appearance.
