KBThaBandHead you gotta check out this whole March in cadence it’s called Series! Oh and they match in off series and play get ready, but percussion jump right into Jungle beat which is a part in series. It’s actually a 20-30 minute long cadence
During my tenure with the Sonic Boom of the South, the march shown was called "The Flash." It was one of the first things we learned in band camp. It took a little time to get all of those left arms moving in unison.
I never wanted to be a drum major but after watching this make me wanna blast this an pick up a broom and do the same thing I like when they get in the circle ...drum majors
I love that cadence I always played that as a challenge and the drum major killed it my drum major played for Jackson in 2006 Byron from Detroit Pershing......yes I did to I thought Justin was goin to jsu I said he got first draft...
love old school original death cadence MARCH IN. TSU drummers would hit that big drum it sounded like a "bomb." They took one step and held one leg up for seconds and repeated (sure you have seen that). You could hear drum all over North Nashville. I don't listen to these podcast "want to be's). When they show me a certificate or Degree in Music, I might listen. I can see and hear for myself and make my own Evaluation.
If you do another Jackson state march in watch when they at home and watch it on Jackson state channel cause they get all the angles and better stuff overall
Re Justin Heideman aka VanillaFunk aka That BUy John, there are over a dozen videos, tv news reports, and print articles about how/why he choose ASU over JSU. There's even a 2-hr Roger Bros interview (that HBCU YT show) w/him & his fellow durm majors. All I remember is he said that life isn't (or shouldn't be) like Tetris. He doesn't want to fit into some spot others select for him. He wants to carve his own path. Something like that. Old soul!
Love the videos bro…..As a music lover and band head, it’s high time there came a person like you to do what you’re doing for the culture! Bro please do a reaction video to the JSU marching in Vs PVAM…….It’s a difference in the energy…….Give it a look when you get the chance!!! Salute 💯
You most def gotta check out their March in during homecoming along with the alumni band. If i'm not wrong, TRINT recorded the whole thing in one video. Dope March in. Alabama State's march in was dope at that game as well!
Told they max out 350 before the rona 30 scales and spit bass section if you gone try out. Something bout this weird Eflat major i know that invented the 8 to 5
Justin said going to JSU is what everybody expected and would have been too easy of a choice so he decided to go to ASU and try something different and as you can see he's killing it.
He Probably Went Were He Was Guaranteed A Drum Major Spot. J5 At The Sonic Boom Of The South Is Competition With The Best Man/Woman Win. No Guarantees.
No please don't react to JSU again....give another band some attention OH and not SU please! No shade I believe it's over 100 HBCU's tmthey're DM's do look good but spread some love!
It's called the SWING N SWAY
JSU drum majors are COLD AF. Been that way for a long, long time.

Lol I love Series. They usually teach Jungle beat in middle school. So series isnt too much a learning curve by high/college.
@@westforpresident._6803 right I went to high school in Jackson and learned series all the way through. That’s THEE best cadence of all HBCU’s
The fact that I could have been at that game yet I missed it cus we couldn’t get tickets makes me so mad.

they drum majors are cold but check out PVAMU march in
The Boom can’t be beat!!!! They def the best out there!!! U bedda get the whole series!! FLASH!!!

Bro you gotta get one when they at home
Old school original is still the best. FAMU and the marching 100. Back in 1963 their death cadence was the bomb and still is now.

North Carolina A&T has the best drum majors and marching in video. Have to watch it from beginning to end.
Norfolk State has one of, if not THE BEST entrance in all of HBCU. JSU is a close second. The DMs are pretty close but J5 got it all day.
Clearly you are on drugs. No one but Norfolk get excited about you guys
