Funny how modders can introduce a weapon or armor much better than a stupid find this and go there and get armor with no kind of dialouge or characters in it.
Normally I dont condone shitting down on already shitty mods, but these mods sound so ancient that their authors have probably completely forgotten that they ever made them Either way, your commentary is both snarky and funny and I like how you recommend better alternatives to what some of the mods are trying to accomplish
You know of The Courier's Museum? It's not a very old mod but it was abandoned and the author deleted it from the Nexus. It was an amazing mod that added a lot of flavour to each playthrough if you wanted to collect stuff. Kind of worked like Legacy of the Dragonborn, with exhibitions and dioramas pertaining most relevant quests as well as other flavour stuff (like statues if you get banned from each casino or new collectibles like limited edition nuka cola caps). It's a shame there'll be no updates to it cuz it was a great mod.
Damn don't salt this wound. I still miss random411 and his mods. I know that it's still possible to find his mods but not just all of them. And his decision to remove himself completely from the internet makes me very concerned.

As someone who lives in New York and has been upstate dozens of times, it's a very accurate mod. Its just open land with nothing but a few craters and the occasional destroyed building full of armed soldiers
there was a mod i remember...al chestbreach did it. you find a book out there in the wasteland and it takes you to a dead money esque urban environment that's almost completely empty. no non hostile npcs, i think there was green gas? after you beat it you go back to the overworld like nothing happened
So apparently there's a FALLOUT 3 SPECIFIC mod that makes Evergreen Mills, that huge raider camp, into a settlement. I know basically no one mods Fallout 3 much these days for understandable reasons, but I wonder if you'd at least take a look! Thanks for the hard work, mate.
interesting video idea. Might be worth a part 2 or maybe the same thing for a different game? I wonder if some of the authors can be DMed if they're still around and have something interesting to say about their 10 year old experiments.
The last one seems so promising, but the highest quality equivalent I can think of is that one mission in NV Bounties 1 with the bunker on the hill to Mojave Outpost.

The first mod is the average Creation Club questline.

FOR REAL BRO
Saw "Upstate New York" and thought it was a steamed hams jokr
“there’s nothing to find here in upstate New York” So it’s an accurate recreation of upstate New York then

This. I always prefer constructive criticism rather than just bashing a mod. But these are so old I'm guessing it will never be an issue.

we most definitely need more unhinged mods showcases

It could probably be converted for TTW. I might take a look.
Didn't some mod reviewer already covered Evergreen Mills mod? 😅
A realistic depiction of Upstate New York.
Came to this video expecting nothing, wasn't disappointed

the new york mod is very accurate, i love going outside and being killed by battlegear
