I am not even an uploader of videos and I try and behave as civilizedly as possible (though it is sometimes difficult due to disrespect and trolling I run into) and even I found out, to my surprise, that I have FOUR warnings or notifications! ("Huomautus" in my native Finnish language). What the heck? I probably need to have a look if my complaints about them passed.
Hi!!!! (o゚v゚)ノ I'm the creator of Blood Trails! Thanks for review my mod (I'm so happy) and yes, Indeed it now supports modded blood textures and have not any more floating blood decals! I hope you all enjoy it! Love you!
randomly got this video recommended but wanted to say it's refreshing to see someone who actually knows what they're doing. so many mod channels blindly add mods on top of mods without any idea how many conflicting records and stability / performance implications they're causing. Respect
do one for fallout 4! Also some other ideas - 1. Weapon sound fx mods 2. Explosion fx + sfx mods 3. skin texture mods 4. texture/object mods You are the go-to fallout mod reviewer for me!
wanted to say i just found your channel looking for fallout 4 mods and i think you are the best mod reviewer for that game. honest reviews, no trying to turn the game into call of duty and most importantly for me, balance considerations. thanks for all the content.
I appreciate honest, no-nonsense mod reviews like this. You pull no punches about what you think are good features or not, while warning people about potential problems. That's refreshing. Good work here.
great review ,didn't know about the the bloodtrails mod. Btw IMPACT has some nice bullet wound decals as well as Snapshots realistic blood mod on FO3nexus
Bloodbath mod from Spifferino released a couple weeks after this video was published. Do you think that mod could be added to this loadout without major or minor conflict?
It should be compatible with everything else. It's just textures and game settings tweaks done via NVSE. Worst thing that could happen is its blood textures looking out of place when seen alongside other mods' textures.
So, dunno if anyone can help me, but no matter what I do in Vortex, the No Screen Blood plugin for Enhanced Blood Textures just does't seem to wanna work, no matter where I load it in the list. Other plugins for the mod work fine. Any ideas?
Few mod reviewers seem to genuinely give reviews like this, they mostly just feature the mod vaguely without really comparing the quality to other mods, solid review.
@@PancuroniumB Yes, you're right. I wish there was a way to get blood decals on modded bodies. Thanks though, homie. Are you planning on covering more FNV mods?
Any way to increase the opacity and size (maybe even duration) of the vanilla blood spurts? I don't want to use a hitmarker mod and would like to make hits resemble pubgs style.
EXE has the same "blood spurting from dismembered limbs" textures as EVE. The blood puff when you hit NPCs is a mesh, so with Nifskope knowledge you might be able to increase its size. The mesh you'll want to extract and look at is Meshes\Effects\ImpactBallisticBlood01.NIF. I can't help you more than that, I don't know anything about editing nifs.
Does packing textures into a BSA even have an effect on a modern system with the game files on an SSD? I thought the primary benefit to BSA's was just having the data grouped on your drive, which shouldn't matter on an SSD at all.
From personal experience I can say archives greatly reduce or remove microstuttering when loading textures, even on an NVME SSD. I wonder how much Mod Organizer's Virtual File System plays a role; I haven't been able to find any good information about this topic. I might do some testing and turn it into a video in the future.
@@PancuroniumB I have a few texture mods out right now and one is just shy of 600MB of loose landscape textures. I've personally never noticed any problems or stuttering, but maybe I should look into uploading stuff as BSA's then?
I'd say if you don't notice any problems, don't bother. Are you using Vortex, by the way? I still wonder if there's a difference between it and MO2. There could also be a difference between DX9 and Vulkan, the NVSE plugins being loaded, hardware - I'm sure all sorts of variables can increase or decrease stuttering and load times.
@@PancuroniumB I've used Vortex for an Oblivion 'collection" on the Nexus, but just didn't like it compared to MO2. I use MO2 for everything unless it's running a collection install to speed things up with an older game. If MO2 supported automated list installs like Wabbajack and Vortex it would be just about perfect.
You're right, I forgot that one. Big mistake since it's better than EBT's More Gore plugin and doesn't have compatibility issues. I also forgot that EXE has the same blood particle effects as EVE, without the compatibility nightmare.
Bro, UA-cam is about to strike your video for violence RIP. Good job on the camera work and editing BTW.
After 15 seconds you can show as much video game violence as you want. Because those who don't want to see it, will opt out by that time anyway.
I sure hope not! I tried my best to follow their extremely vague guidelines.
That's a compliment

vanilla blood looks like tomato juice
I convinced my mom that the blood didn’t look like blood so it was fine if I as a five year old played it.
My computer broke and the laptop I have can literally only run (in terms of modded games) Fallout New Vegas so I'm ever grateful for these videos
same bro

This is a fucking awesome presentation man. Decided to comment to boost engagement
Hey folks, Valentin The Mad here and-
Wait a minute...
Wrong channel?
*guitar riff intensifies*
you can try EXE instead of EVE , still best blood spray of all mods imo
I must say, you're very brave to have produced this video, good sir.
Don't let the UA-cam mafia find you.
Too bad the broken bones poking out of severed limbs feature is locked behind installing the Frontier
do one for fallout 4!

1. Weapon sound fx mods
2. Explosion fx + sfx mods
3. skin texture mods
4. texture/object mods

Immersive death sound mods are also important. I don't play F: NV nowadays, but I'm using them for Stalker Anomaly and Fallout 4.

Just so everyone knows too - packing textures into a .bsa and creating mipmaps can be with CAO
Think the only time I wouldn't mind screen blood is when my head gets crippled, just makes sense for it to appear then.
Another upload lets gooooo !

Beat a fallout game with skin cancer next. Any high light amounts will give you radiation damage that NEVER goes away
Edit: edit
I personally use the FO4 backport but these mods helped it get even more... uhm... liveleaky
I think a fix was recently released on nexus for the flashing problem
I've never wanted a remaster of a game as much as I do New Vegas
Live Dismemberment is a crash fest without NVAC but damn is it brutal
I really like the "handheld camera" effect you used a few times.
Love the video, could you pretty please do a fallout 4 blood video.

what ragdoll mods are you using btw?
Nothing in this video. I've always had CTDs from mods like Ragdolls and Death Throes (maybe because of TTW?) so I've sworn off them.
@@PancuroniumB thanks man
Could "Murder Scene - A Complete Blood and Gore Overhaul" replace "Enhanced Blood Textures" and "Gore Overhaul"
I've never heard of this mod, and can't find it with a Google search so... maybe?

Check in FNVEdit if any other mod is overwriting the No Screen Blood plugin's gamesettings.
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
Blood for the blood mods.
bring back fo4 vids bro fr

However, there are issues
Another cultured Random Madness enjoyer? Nice! ;)
WOAH HE COOKED HERE
Is it normal blood decals don't work for Robert's male body meshes?
I've never used that mod, but it may be the case. Vanilla bodies have no problem.

I haven't, but I will at some point this year.
