I find it interesting that Chris can be so intelligent in terms of strategy but often fails to read the room. His continuing to talk about Spoons brings to mind when he brought up Little Carmine to Johnny Sack-after Tony specifically told him not to. I still don’t understand what that was about. This scene seems inadvertent but I think both instances show that Chris doesn’t always pay Tony mind. On a surface level he respects Tony’s position as boss. But on a deeper-almost subconscious-level he doesn’t really see him that way. Throughout the show he says things to Tony that the other guys wouldn’t dare say.

I find it interesting that Chris can be so intelligent in terms of strategy but often fails to read the room. His continuing to talk about Spoons brings to mind when he brought up Little Carmine to Johnny Sack-after Tony specifically told him not to. I still don’t understand what that was about. This scene seems inadvertent but I think both instances show that Chris doesn’t always pay Tony mind. On a surface level he respects Tony’s position as boss. But on a deeper-almost subconscious-level he doesn’t really see him that way. Throughout the show he says things to Tony that the other guys wouldn’t dare say.
