  • Last year I did a deep dive into a portrait of Mrs. William Townshend with an eye to recreating it one day. Well this year I went to the Labyrinth Masquerade, which seemed like the perfect opportunity to finally recreate the gown!

    Wow! That dress is beautiful. Grest job figuring out how it was done. How about making the dress from the painting "Girl with a pearl earing" ? That is one of my favorite paintings.

      Oh I love that painting! Dutch 17th century is on my list of time periods I’d love to explore too. The short waists and super wide back pleated sleeves are beautiful. That’s a great idea!
