    Vertical pass has been my go to for years and I love the consistency. However lately the picture frame first has been a learning curve with how humid it has been getting. Love the tips. Great vid

    For a very smoother finish , maybe step back a little and definitely on side to side work from top to bottom... for a better look which gives customer a more satisfying experience...inspectors also can see the quality of a nice finish. vertical spraying u should box in first or at least top and bottom. Also need to at the top and bottom while spraying speed up at turn. Hard to explain in texts but if u just go up down up down at same speed top n bottom will fill more.. so on way up right before u go to go down u gotta speed it up and slow after finishing changing direction..

    Horizontal strokes help open cell expand quickly so movement is faster, closed need a slower movement up the cavity because of slower expansion.

    Is it ok to apply spray foam insulation when the attic is 110 degrees? Will it fully cure? Or will it off gas forever?

      Hello Charlie, we always recommend checking your manufacturers' product documentation when it comes to environmental conditions and determining re-entry and re-occupancy times.

    Can someone tell me how to control the pulling away from studs on open cell foam ?

    • @SWDurethane
      @SWDurethane  2 роки тому

      Hello, foam pulling away from the studs could be caused by a variety of things from wrong temperatures, improper moisture content, to not wetting the studs. Checking the rise time can help determine if it is a temperature issue. Ouch slow down.. spraying closed cell you prob should box in, especially in winter.. build up a wave and follow it down. Only rises so fast and leading or spraying too fast you'll run thin and cost u more strokes.

    Helllo, does using a barrier to prevent expansion out of the cavities, alter insulation properties?

    • @SWDurethane
      @SWDurethane  Рік тому

      Hello Joar, Without more information it is difficult to give you an exact answer on how using a barrier might affect the foam or the substrate you are applying to. When applying spray foam it is always best to consult the manufacturers guidelines in order to get the best performance. If you are using any of our products you can always reach out to our tech team 888-380-2022 for detailed help with the application of any SWD products.
