This makes me picture my Dad. He passed away June 1st 2021. He loved hunting and fishing. This is what he would want.
God bless you 🙏 I have a similar connection with this song having lost my grandpa. This song always takes me to a place where I feel him within the song.
Sorry about the loss of your father. I appreciate you being bold enough to share with a stranger. This to me says your father taught you well as he must have been a good man. Now. He is great Angel doing God’s work
Sorry for your loss 2 years later. We still love ya
Sorry to hear that. Lost my dad 10 years ago and he would have wanted this also. He hated being cooped up.
My grandpa... John Ed Lewis sr., lived a humble life for his family, his horse and for christ. He taught me to shoot a sling shot, clean a rifle, say my prayers and to be grateful for this life and the next and to work as hard as i can and to put my faith in christ. He was raised on a dairy farm on the Southside of San Antonio and led the San Antonio day parade on his horse carrying the Texas Flag. He served his country, went to college and graduated an electrical engineer, fought wars on foreign soil, married his highschool sweetheart and raised 4 children who went on to give him many grand children and great grand children. He retired from the civil service and again from trinity university as university policeman. He carried a 357 on his hip, wore a pair of polished justins and volunteered his time to the church of christ till the day he died. This song hits home for me in the realest of ways! A true cowboy of few word, many smiles, lots of lessons, and more than anything, unwavering love for his family, the great state of Texas, and for Christ. I miss him but i know hes standing right here over my shoulder guiding me. I love you papaw!
This song deserves more that 100k views on this channel that’s for sure. One of the best voices in country music.
I don’t know where I’ve been. But I don’t remember running across Craig and he randomly showed up on my UA-cam today. Such a classic country sounding song. That’s what I love. Maybe that’s why I haven’t heard him before. Great voice. Great sound.
My father's favorite song, was the last song he heard minutes before he peacefully passed last year from cancer. This song was played on loop to a slide show for my father's memorial service with many pictures of him hunting and fishing.
I lost my best friend in the whole world last year. We used to jam to this song when he was around. He’s living on the outskirts of heaven now - that I know.
Since I’ve lost him, I started to really get into playing and writing music. Would be honoured if you covered one of my songs. Been a long time fan and nothing would make my best friend more proud. That’s all I’ve been trying to do is make him proud. God bless Craig
Love this stripped down version of a beautiful song that reminds me of the greatest man I’ve ever known, my grandpa. I know he’s gotta spot saved for me underneath a big shade tree on the outskirts of heaven.
One of the best heartfelt songs that makes me daydream of life after my days are done....thank you for sharing this with us.

This is the song that I want to be played at my funeral. 🙏
A beautiful, very emotional song. Craig does this song the right way it needed to be. Love this version so much. Right now I am feeling so much emotion. Lost my dad years ago and just recently lost my mom so I get this song. 😇🤠😇🤠😇🤠
Great song and performance!!👊😎
U got me, I'm all up in tears
love that Mcpherson guitar!
Absolutely Beautiful!!
wow. tears. love this
Just beautiful
I wish this was on the radio over todays pop junk
This song describes me to a t. Made me cry outta love. My heart was squeezed so hard. 💜🌻💜 Much love from the Wilds of Northern Colorado
That voice 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I lost my sister and dad 2021 to Covid. They join my 3 brothers who I hope are already digging this years garden, on the outskirts of heaven. I miss them all so very much
Soon I hope we can sing and laugh together again
I am so sorry for your loss. I pray you are reunited with them one day through faith in Jesus.
I already live in the "outskirts of Heaven", it's better known as Colorado!⛰⛺🗻
Beautiful song
Me seeing a RuPaul's Drag Race advert before I watch my 17th video of a man in a cap singing about God, decency and fishing:
'Sigh. I wish I'd allowed Targeted Ads.'
Thats just fucking amazing! 🤘🤘
I didn’t know who Craig was until I heard Outskirts of Heaven on Cross Country radio. What a voice. I was about to buy this angelic song, then I saw it was on the same album as a song he recorded about indulging in alcohol. This beautiful acoustic version hardly belongs on the same album as Más Tequila. So although tempting, I will have to take a hard pass on purchasing this song. Craig if you believe in Jesus who gave His life for you and died in your stead to purchase your place in heaven, please give up your drinking and start doing some soul-winning while there’s still time for the lost to get saved.
Luv the message & heart felt talent ya shared ; thank you - great job - be blessed & play safe - live - laugh & love & carry on ; awesome
A song for the soul.
~~BEAUTIFUL~~
Wow it's perfect
Thank you
Lord when I die at least 50 acres of green grass and big shade trees
Hell yeah.
Right on!!!
Your voice is unreal.
I don’t need a mansion just build me a cabin on the corner of glory land
Probably won't answer but is your family from Texas
Sounds very much like the Eagles “Take it to the limit”. Beautiful nonetheless.
