I totally plan on getting the 40mm version in white as soon as I can! I had already planned on buying the bracelet separately to avoid the customs charges. For anyone who doesn't know, if you don't go over $800, you don't have to pay customs, so you'll actually come out about $100 ahead. There is also a 10% discount floating around you can use on the bracelet as well to save a little more! Great review as always, Rob!
I bought the 40mm in blue with the bracelet and the blue/orange rubber strap. Fantastic watch! I've worn it every day for the past two weeks and can't get enough of it. My first CW. I never liked their logo being their name. But love the new logo and the new watch! The micro adjust took a little getting used to, but once I learned the "trick" it works great. I love being able to resize as my wrist swells and shrinks from day to day or sometimes, hour to hour.

CW seem to have now solved all my issues I had. 38hr Power reserve is a little meh for me but for under £600ish you can't argue. retains its value as well.
I have four CW watches (so far) and they get the more wrist time than any other watch in my collection. The best value you can get IMO. I think they should get more praise for their straps and bracelets too. Just got the tropic rubber for my C65. It is awesome!

Awesome watch! I do wish CW will offer a higher end version equip with their in-house 5 days PR COSC movt. and still maintain the same case thickness. That would be a killer!
CW won't have any trouble selling these. Although the power reserve isn't anything to get excited about, I like the choice of the SW200-1 for this. I had to order one. Im a sucker for a white dial and with the new thinner bezel created by the addition of that thin metal ring between it and the crystal, to me that just does it for me. Thanks Rob for costing me more money lol
Yeah, I think the current light catcher case that's on this model is pretty much as perfect as you can get. I can't imagine seeing any real significant improvements over where they have right now. I had to go with the white dial version, also. But, in 40 mm. It's too bad they don't offer the orange rubber strap for the smaller versions. Only for the 42 mm. As such, I went with the hybrid strap with the watch and with the $125 off. And, ordered the bracelet separately. Got to have the bracelet with this watch also. Additionally, I believe the newest version of this bracelet has an even greater taper to about 16mm as well which is nice.

Import duties/taxes apply to watches ≧$800USD. From The Truth About Watches, “Customs and Border Patrol charges a 3% import tax on the first $1000 beyond the $800 exemption. They charge 6.5% on any amount above the first grand.”
Bong or no bong, CW's logo is a combination of the British and Swiss flags. Designed in Great Britain, manufactured with Swiss components. Great concept, cool logo. It's show time.
Christopher Ward watches are a waste of your money. It’s a wanna be British brand that does not understand design. Ugly, unoriginal models. They are not expensive , but then by the time you service the watch a couple of times throughout its lifetime you’ve spent the same amount as on the watch. And I don’t understand the fascination of owning a mechanical watch with a mass produced movement that does not cost much more than a good high torque quartz movement . If you want an automatic watch , save up and buy a good pre owned automatic watch from a major brand . This just screams I want a nice automatic watch but can’t or won’t spend the coin on one with a better movement from a big brand with history .I’d rather wear a Citizen diver Promaster 200 Eco drive. No need for expensive servicing , no need for battery replacement , better design in my opinion and a LOT cheaper . If you ve got the coin I’d get a pre owned late 90’s early 2000’s Rolex Submariner date or no date for around 10 grand . If you can’t afford 10 grand , stick to Solar or battery powered quartz, until you have the money .
For starters, some people don't have the money to buy a second-hand watch nor do they want to. Part of the pleasure is owning your first automatic watch, your comments come across as condescending and out of touch. Secondly many people who own watches from big brands also own CW's, I like the design, clearly many others do also. I have a Rolex DateJust, Submariner , Breitling Chronomat but I still love the CW brand, it's amazing value for money. It's a shame that people feel the need to disparage those that don't have £10k to spend on a watch and try to discourage them from enjoying automatic watches at a price point they can afford. It costs nothing to be nice.
Looking at the landscape of automatic dive watches this really is standout in terms of thinness, different size options/colors, dive spec, quick release bracelet, and engraving option. There really isn’t any other watch that offers these things up or downmarket. I ordered this watch with my son’s name and birth date engraved and will give it to him when he’s ready. It really is a cool watch on its own merits.

@@kebabman2k Apparently your major beef is that the watch does not cost over ten grand. Enough said.
I would also like to own a Mercedes 300 SL gullwing, but haven't got several million to spend on one. Does that mean I can't have a sports car?
Lmao go back to /wt/
Looking at the landscape of automatic dive watches this really is standout in terms of thinness, different size options/colors, dive spec, quick release bracelet, and engraving option. There really isn’t any other watch that offers these things up or downmarket. I ordered this watch with my son’s name and birth date engraved and will give it to him when he’s ready. It really is a cool watch on its own merits.
$125 discount. 125Loupe26. Rob is correct. Buy the watch with the strap using the $125 discount code and avoid paying the import fee. Then buy the bracelet separately using the MOD10 10% discount code.
The 125Loupe26 code doesn't work unfortunately
Really? I just received an email from CW with the code. I wonder if it is targeted?
@@brendanosullivan771 I just used it last week to buy this watch and it worked for me. Whats not working for me is the MOD10 to buy the bracelet
@@stevev7402 I also recently tried to use the MOD10 to buy a bracelet and it did not work. CW must no longer be using it.
@@richardvanfrank8114 I’m hoping a new one becomes available that will work on the bracelet Still haven’t bought it and just can’t pay full price
