    Your hand start recommendation is spot on. Saves having to clean up the threads with a tap and die, as I have done just the one time. Slow is fast. Fast is slow. Lesson taken to heart.
    I also like to tip my mower back rather than to the side and I do use a torque wrench to snug the bolts down. For those who have trouble with stuck bolts -- a breaker bar will get it done.

    Tks for taking the time to make the video, i am doing my first blade chage and was looking to find out if the blade bolts were reverse threads or regular and I was able to determine they are regular when you were hand tightening the blots back in. Also props for reminding us about the spark plug

    The underside of your deck looks great. I spray PAM non-stick on it to keep grass from sticking!

    Tip/suggestions: Apply antiseize on the bolts that way it won't seize and you don't have to apply lube again. Also, raise the handle straight up and tip the mower straight back onto the handle or on it's side and the mower will sit up 180* (if the tank is full just put a small plastic bag just inside the cap so it won't leak.

    And, for those who like to put a torque wrench on everything, Toro says 60 ft lbs for the blade bolts. Which surprised me, because the 20-in mower has a single bigger blade and they usually specify 35 to 40 foot pounds. Maybe it's because the smaller blades are spinning faster?

    Great job. Thank you. Wanted to know if the bolt was a reverse thread, but hand tighten was clearly righty tighty. Thanks again.

    With two blades must have "T" pattern/ alignment . Always test by hand that blades do not touch.

    The one thing I needed to know is how to put the blades on.... curved Side Up or down.... not used to changing blades I have put them on backwards before... it would be good if you showed people which way to turn the blade when putting on

      I did reference the 3min and after mark you can see the washer is on top like going back into the mower.. the waves are facing up and the cutting blade is on the ground. another reference to use is put you blade on the ground and if the curve is going up then it's the correct direction.. look how I am tightening the bolt with my hand. The curve is going up towards the mower.. I hope this helps

    notice less clogging under deck with the copperheads?
    still liking them?
    helpful pointer.....use spray oil instead of wd-40....

    • @phereschatman9242
      @phereschatman9242  2 роки тому

      Yes.. still love them.. clogging is the same for me in compares to OEM... Yes there are better lubricant spray.. WD-40 has been good me since I change blades every 10hours

      Aww thanks.. that means alot coming from you. Yes it's a good mower and the bag is huge especially if you need to bag anything..

      I really like mine. I'd really love it if it had a bigger gas tank. The blade timing belt idle pulley and tension pulley are notoriously weak, but you can upgrade to the ones off the eXmark.

    Firstly tell us whether or not its right or left hand thread, also you don't know what's going into your bare hands, think first. Looks like its normal thread

    • @phereschatman9242
      @phereschatman9242  10 місяців тому

      Good point. I normally clean or spray bottom of deck prior too changing blades. I never had a problem using my bare hands. Wearing Gloves is an excellent idea if it's for a more comfortable feeling for you.
