The guy at the gundam store was so pumped to sell this to me. He called it the kit of the year and made sure to set one aside for himself. I have to agree with him, I've wanted a kit of this design well before this was released. Can't wait to build it!
Best looking kit of the year? Yeah I can see that but it's definitely not kit of the year lol. I built mine basically the second the preorders finally shipped out and it was a lot of fun but the final product is such a brick of a kit. It brings out the worst aspects of the woundwort and barzam with the polycaps being loosey goosey and the legs having very limited articulation due to the ankles and knees. That being said I am in the same camp as you, I was ecstatic to see the kit get announced and I'm not disappointed by it cause I knew it was gonna be a statue It's definitely a fun kit but when it's going up against stuff like the rg 2.0 it's no where close to kit of the year

Right now I have a whole Woundwort from all the AoZ kits I've built, it's actually pretty hilarious.
Fun fact: You can make a red woundwort with this kit, only lacking the long blade claw. As a matter of fact most AoZ kits are 2-3 different kit runners all in one kit.
Just built mine yesterday! Yeah AoZ kits are real tough on posing and articulation, had to replace a polycap because it broke almost immediately when I tried to manage a kick. Had to put the fella on a stand, but the aesthetics make it all worth it (except dealing with Pbandai nonsense). Maybe it'll be the kit to make me learn how to tighten these up.
20:06 the woundwort wrists should be there in runner B, amongst the leftover parts. since there's enough parts in this box to build both the Barzam I and a red woundwort
Interestingly, my Woundwort Psychoblade is very flimsy with the Barzam bits attached (I assembled it out of the box in that configuration so it wasn't like it was posed and aged prior to tacking on the extra bits), and my Barzam II has been incredibly solid out of the box. I guess I'll see how the other two I haven't put together yet fare.
To me it seems the only saving grace for the kit is all the extra pieces you get. Far from one of my favorites but building kits that are different than what I'm used to building helps keep the hobby fresh for me.
I mean at the end of the day I'm just glad we're finally getting some of the lesser known Mobile Suits in model from. I really hope bandai continues to make more model kits of these
Can I just say to you, my friend that I absolutely enjoy watching your review videos whenever I’m looking forward to getting a new kit I always come to your videos trying to find good kits to get
@apocalypticsurvivor6111 you can't have all 3 at the same time. With the Barzam II built, you will have a Barzam head, Torso, and upper legs (pretty good start for a kitbash imo) and Woundwort arms and other scraps left over. I do think you could probably have the red woundwort and barzam at the same time but that's a waste of this kit imo.
This was and probably will be, my favorite build of all time. Stands so proud on my shelf high above the HG titan variants and stands almost head to head with a MG.
This was my first P-Bandai, and gossip my first kit I'm building after building a backlog for 2-3 years (I had a big move and I didn't want any of them to get damaged in the move as a consequence of me building them).

I love the woundwarts. I have the psycho-blade custom and the one with two large cannons. I have two of the haze'n'thley IIs (I think that's what they are maybe Is idk, but it's the black big woundwart), and another psycho-blade custom coming in sometime cause I wanna make the proper black woundwart. There's a couple more I need to get but I have to wait for Premium Bandai to re-release them.
I have the Hazel Owsla and the Hazel 2 MG and honestly they are not my favorite despite AoZ being my favorite gundam series. The two are huge but have the same detail that the HG's have so I found myself moving over to the HG aoz kits because theres more of them for more customization. This gundpla is one of my few regrets in the hobby. I'm not good at improving kits out of the box, and how weak the hips were and how little it can pose were really a letdown. Exspwcially considering the price and my lack of knowledge on how to use the leftover parts.

You can use this kit to build a full woundwort and an ALMOST full barzam (just missing the monoeye).
Wait, missing mono-eye!? That's a bummer.
