On behalf of all Quezonians, specially in my hometown Tayabas, Thank you for showcasing our small yet underated city❤❤❤ It's the first time that somebody has highlighted our local cuisine, lifestyle and tradition at this level for everybody to see aswell to explore. Now if everytime I'll be asked where i come from, im showing them this Quezon series. Thank you very much FEATR❤❤ proud tayabasin from New Zealand🇳🇿🇳🇿🙌🙌
mas maganda kung underrated yung lugar, preserve sya which is priceless! environment is fresh and cool. less crime also...sum it up, peaceful ang lugar. been pondering to buy a farm in Tayabas..
and the way they portray people in a noble, human way is such a great thing as well. they elevate the people and culture. featr is so special in this sense.
This is very reminiscent of my childhood! I spent summers in Tayabas, Quezon. Everytime we would go to "linang" to forage berries, make minukmok from cassava or banana, then go swimming sa irrigation
This is definitely how our household in Quezon Province do the cooking. Most of the food prep came from foraging, either from our backyard, the neighbor's backyard (syempre with consent ang pagkuha😂) and even the forests. My Lolo often forages edible white mushrooms as he visits some of our fruit bearing trees in farther areas from our home. Hay Featr team, you guys are so relevant. The relatability embedded in each content is topnotch. And very informative lalo na for other people that are not familiar with some ways of life in the country. Galing galing. Go get your flowers Featr team! Dasurrvv
One of my dream jobs is to work for channels like FEATR. I adore deep dives into these ordinary people with extraordinary stories, just waiting to be told. Preserving stories is what humanity is all about
Thanks Featr for coming up with these quality content. Eye opening!
Very informative!! I love watching stuff like this. Thank you, Erwan, and the rest of FEATR team! Very well researched, made, narrated. You are doing a good thing! Keep going! May the Lord keep blessing your mission!
Very informative. I really like the format of these interviews, the pauses, the beautiful cinematography, music, and articulate narration. The storytelling is that good that I retain so much information. Please don’t stop doing these. Thank you.
We have Roselle Wines in Ilocos Norte. Even Lemon grass wine. Labong or Rabong, we call it pancit bantay(mountain). Those wild plants in Habilin seems normally grew in our croplands here.
In my province theres a lot of it including kuhol like with longer shell we will just harvest near swamp we live along vast of coconut trees fruits and vegetables no need to buy. Then i grew up in Manila i always drive to my province just near in Quezon
I go to Tayabas every year to visit my friend's family. My friend introduced me to Pako (local edible fern). I love Pako. They added this in Ginataang Suso. Yum! I'm going back to that restaurant which cooks this.
Thanks so much for showcasing our one of our Tagalog Provence's and our native food,so very nice. That's our life provrences the daily food are comes our backyard organic n healthy.i miss alot. 🙏🙏
My hometown. Banahaw and pag friday nagsisimba sa Dolores, Our Lady of Sorrow at kapag fiesta nadayo kami paliligo sa ilog
My family has a farm in our province of Bataan. It can be a self supporting environment where you have fruits, rice, vegetables that you do not need to buy any other produce in the markets anymore.
Province life, I remember when I was a kid we ate nothing but fresh vegetables n make soup every day from the farm . I remember using that kabayo the coconut scarper and my parents wound use a cloth to strain the fresh niyog.
Wow! Your video features a lot of what Quezonians memoirs of living. What a nostalgic meal especially the lagikway with egg. Growing in Quezon, and consuming these healthyliscious wild veggies were a real treat for me, but back then, I didn't realized those familiar and easily accessible veggies around our house were really a great treat to our health. I didn't realized back then I was eating a power food, an organic and non-GMO food readily available from our wild garden to the table. I do remember eating almost everything with Malungay which I am missing everyday, living in the USA. All these food that you have prepared gave me a blast of yesteryears memories of my childhood life in Mauban, Quezon. I do miss Pinais and Pinangat. We called Kasupangil that leaves that you are calling Kawamba, these leaves brings back lots of delectable home cook meals that my mom used to prepare for us out from the scratch. I hope someday to go back to my roots, and retires in Quezon. Thank you for sharing your video.
I grew up in a farm too in the context that we do not buy our food, and only sell the extras and if we need that is the only time I sell our eggs, etc...
I have been to the Quezon province, the locals served me this dish, I forgot what it was called. It was mushroom that only grows when lightning is present. It tastes like chicken!
Lagkigway in our province we call it likway and we use it in a soup dish together with other green but never alone. First time I saw the likway was use alone in a soup.
kaya nga turing ko sa Quezon is 'the land of the greens' kase kahit na wla kang pera at sa gubatan ka nakatira hindi ka magugutom, basta may knowledge ka sa mga halaman madami kang makikitang pagkain dito, tapos ung niyog or buko halos free na dito e.
Pag nakapagtapos na talaga ako at makapagtrabaho, bibili talaga ako ng lupa at gagawin isang farm not to earn but to retire and have a self sufficient farm na di na kailangan bumili sa Grocery.
This is my go to channel whenever I want to watch something while eating.
Sana napasarap ang kain mo! Thanks for watching.
Same here! :)
Same w/ me 😂❤

7:29 “maraming makakain dito na hinde mo kailangang bilhin, pipitasin mo na lang around the area” Is soooo real! Thats how i grow up!
