I love the games you have ready to go. If you're looking for shorter games that are a bit different but still have strong stories, I have a few recommendations I think you'd enjoy based on your reaction to the story in BG3, just to consider. Portal 1&2 - About 6 hours to complete both games on a first playthrough. They're puzzle games that push the boundaries on puzzle games with incredible voice acting and an interesting story that slowly unwinds. Psychonauts 1&2 - About 10 hours to complete, with another 10 of possible side content. They're platformers with a beautiful narrative that will pull at your heart strings and have you laughing hysterically at some scenes. Subnautica & Below Zero - About 8 hours to complete both with a lot of side content. The game starts off as an open world crafting game but as you dive deeper, you uncover more and more lore. There is quite a bit of reading that is optional but the main story is still compelling and interesting to discover.

I think that doing one big game and one smaller at the same time is the go to, because you can have more variety and finish more games. That said I have some recommendations: -Short games: Inscryption; Oris games; Hellblade (1 and 2); Tunic; Slay the Princess; The Wolf Among Us. -Medium length games: Alan Wake 1, Control and Alan Wake 2 (in that order); Soul Series; Sekiro; Batman Arkham Saga (all 4 games); Returnal. -Long games: Elden Ring; Death Stranding; Risen saga (especially the first one).
I’ve recommended it before but given how much you love the drow, you’d probably enjoy Neverwinter Nights, even though it’s an oldie. If you want something truly linear, I recommend the first two Mafia games (specifically Mafia 1 Definitive Edition the beautiful remake and Mafia 2 Classic NOT the botched remaster). Open world games without side quests, great gangster stories, each game about 10 hours long. Basically the gaming equivalent of Goodfellas or The Godfather. Although unfortunately, a big part of the games is the licensed soundtrack which gets blocked by UA-cam, and playing the games without it just... doesn't feel right. Hmmm. Disco Elysium can't come soon enough!
I actually just bought Mafia 1 it was on sale for only 9 bucks!! What a steal! I'm a huge fan of the mafia stuff in movies and such so I wont lie I'm excited to check those games out. Disco Elysium looks like its a full winner I got the game installed and the settings all set up as best as I can and I'm ready to being the journey
For some mid-length and high quality RPGs, are you familiar with Obsidian's fantasy series with the two Pillars of Eternity games? They also have a spin off called Tyranny where you play as a villain, which you rarely get to do. And they have another one coming out next year called Avowed.
i actually went on a CRPG buying spree recent thanks to GoG forever having deals and BG3 making me love the genre so much. I got both Pillars games and also like 4 divinity games also pathfinder kingmaker lol just so many more. Avowed might be a day 1 LP I'm excited for that game.
I hope that at some point you will play Mafia 1 and 2 and Broken Sword 1 and 2. Perhaps Heroes of Might & Magic III if you don't mind playing a strategy game.
actually just bought Mafia it was on sale for just 9 bucks!! Super steal. Its a must I'm a huge fan of the mafia type stuff in movies ect. I don't think I ever played a strategy game but I'm always game to try.
Well if you haven’t played Bully the game is not that long and it is very small open world if it considered as an open world. You could use as a let’s try
Best of luck with the RDR2 thing. Also just wondering do you think you may play Persona 4 Golden / Assassin's Creed Valhalla / Zero Escape The Nonary Games / Danganronpa series. I know Persona 4 Golden & Assassin's Creed Valhalla are long games and Zero Escape The Nonary Games & Danganronpa series somewhat short these are just some games I think you may like & that would be fun to see.
Shame about RD2, I reckon its the best game I've ever played story wise and you were only getting to the stage where it takes off. I think its a Windows 10 bug, my PC is the same. Plays fine on my handheld Legion Go, both in hand-mode and via my external egpu and wide screen monitor, but that's running Windows 11. Skyrim holds up fairly well for an old game. I'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn, remastered and loving it all over again prior to playing Forbidden West. That would be my recommendation for a new Open World experience with a great story. Easy to game saves in that.
RDR2 will get its time I truly hope we can push more vids out of it. I miss the story so much and characters. We should be ok for the most part and you are correct it def a windows 10 issue it has to be. I'm gonna update to windows 11 this week and I will check it out. If that's the fix I'm gonna cry tears of joy!
@@Bowskii Good luck. I was getting the same hang-up crashes when I played Witcher 3 again. That also plays fine on my Legion Go, so I reckon it must be a Windows 10 problem, and my PC is very old.
last of us and jedi need to def be a thing I actually have the jedi game I'm hoping to get the last of us soon. I also hope when I switch to windows 11 it fixes the rdr2 issue.
Totally agree! Last of Us would definitely get my vote if RDR's at the point of no return - and a far shorter playthrough completion time (20-25hr) compared to the 'current' two, had they both been able to run. Such a beautifully crafted game/story, esp with it's improved graphics in the latest release. Sidenote: Still hard to believe the point at which RDR's currently left, given it started during mid 2022 - due to the issues encountered along the way. 😬😲
@19DM81 yeah it's so darn unfortunate because that game is such a great game and deserves to be completely done. We would be playing the rdr1 remake ATM if those bugs never happen. But I'm not gonna give up I'm gonna keep going to complete even if the game is a corpse trying to crawl out the grave. The last of us is full force a must at some point. As soon as it goes on sale I'm pulling the trigger on it
I know this would probably be a pain, but have you considered playing red dead on console? Obviously it would mean playing through again up to where you are, unless you can do cross saves? But it might actually be less time consuming in the long run, if it really is an issue because console has no issues with performance. Just a thought.
I would love to my friend I have a tough time recording from console to PC due to the fact I only got one monitor but I feel like this issue might be a windows 10 thing. Maybe if I update to 11 it may fix it. As much as I loved console back in the day I'm now spoiled and so use to mouse and keyboard but don't get me wrong I still play my PS5 at times and love my couch controller time. Its full force dad gaming and I love it.
How about try horror game like silent hill 2 remake or resident evil Also until dawn is good choice game has 6 hour gameplay you can finish game in 3 part of 4 part Until dawn game is similar to to Detroit in gameplay standpoint Also until dawn horror you have keep 7 people alive if you make wrong choice its possible all of the 7 people get killed
I would love too I actually intend to do resident evil at some point. I got resident evil 0 and 1 so far. Until Dawn is another game I will be doing at some point. Hoping to get a horror game on the channel sooner rather than later.

lol that game was def something I wanted to check out so long ago it looks funny as hell.
Thank you and most definitely of love to try persona!! Definitely a game that's been on my backlog for so long and of course assassins creed games
Really sucks about Red Dead man! Hope it will cooperate soon! The Last Of Us and Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor is something you should do!
last of us and jedi need to def be a thing I actually have the jedi game I'm hoping to get the last of us soon.
He really dosent play using controllers, he prefers keyboard
I would love to my friend I have a tough time recording from console to PC due to the fact I only got one monitor but I feel like this issue might be a windows 10 thing. Maybe if I update to 11 it may fix it. As much as I loved console back in the day I'm now spoiled and so use to mouse and keyboard but don't get me wrong I still play my PS5 at times and love my couch controller time. Its full force dad gaming and I love it.
please play the unfinshed swan its made by the same people who made what remains of edith finch also milton appeares in it
I loved Edith Finch that was such a great game I def would love to play more games made by the same devs.
How about try horror game like silent hill 2 remake or resident evil
Also until dawn is good choice game has 6 hour gameplay you can finish game in 3 part of 4 part
Until dawn game is similar to to Detroit in gameplay standpoint
Also until dawn horror you have keep 7 people alive if you make wrong choice its possible all of the 7 people get killed
I would love too I actually intend to do resident evil at some point. I got resident evil 0 and 1 so far. Until Dawn is another game I will be doing at some point. Hoping to get a horror game on the channel sooner rather than later.
AC Valhalla or hogwarts legacy or both great
really great suggestions AC games are an absolute must and Hogwarts is def something I'm going to bring I just loved the movies alot.
