Metalshop TV sat down with Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains) & Greg Puciato (ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan) for a special "tag team" interview just before Cantrell's solo show in Lucerna Music Bar, Prague, CZ. Jerry is easily the artist I have the most respect for for myriad reasons. I've met him a few times and he was always cool as hell and down to earth. He is also one of the few artists I truly believe doesn't have even One bad song in his entire catalog...between AIC and solo...every song is solid as hell.

Saw these two perform together last night. Always criticism over vocalists trying to take Layne’s place, but Greg sounded LEGIT!! Super impressed
So I seen Jerry with Candlebox and Bush August 4th in Indy. I was very suprised by Greg’s vocals. He has a set of pipes on him. When they did Man in a Box, he nailed it. I was blown away. But great job to all the bands on that day. Even Tim Montana suprised me by how good they were. Great show.
Jerry Cantrell is a rock God. I have not stopped listening since I rediscovered them from "Stone". It's almost 24/7 Alice in Chains.
nice interview! crazy how they've known each other less than 3 years, partnered on Jerry's album, and finished a tour as co-vocalists. Amazing how Jerry put this whole thing together!

Jerry's motivation, motivates me!!...It's good to see him solo, and with AIC "thriving"... Ha!
I think it's us who miss Layne. I'm sure Jerry does too. But William has been with the band longer than Layne's tenor now. I know he loved his best friend, brother, and man who got him off the streets during the darkest times of Jerry's life. The death of his mother and grandmother. Layne saved his life. But Jerry has made it clear that it's time to say goodbye. The songs black gives way to blue, your decision and voices sung by Jerry and William Duvall. They're written by Jerry. They're about Layne. If you understand his message it puts things into perspective.
Jerry said in an interview done with them way when they were first starting out that this was going to be his life's mission to be a musician and he's done it

They did great show in April of 2022 at big night live in Boston and they just came again a few weeks ago to lupos in Providence ri I was at both amazing shows

Damn...Puciato looks so slim here - On stage he always looked like hulk, with all pump muscles and stuff and now it looks like he lose all that weight

Weird people would be dicks in regards to your observation.Yeah I think he got into partying during the last few years of Dillinger but even then he was still easily 30 pounds of muscle heavier.
The drugs got his interest.
Happened to me years ago too. But then I quit the dope and went back to the gym.
Maybe he just dosent want to start the endless cycle of lifting, eating and eating and eating to get big .......maybe along with some deca and test.....who knows.....I never met the dude.

He's no Layne, that's for sure.
Layne's sophistication is a rare gift. And Jerry is not the same Jerry musically that was beside Layne. This type personalities usually up everybody's game around them.
