As strange as this may seem, I will always admire Mattel for being so experimental, I feel like from the 1970's though the very early 2000's, but especially 1980-1999, they were not afraid to put out any and every Barbie that they could think of, dolls with features and details that they just don't use anymore with their current dolls

It's like you flash forward, ala the final episode of Six Feet Under, and see those two girls become dear old friends, along with their two best friends who are an older gay couple, and what a funny story- the boys took the girls to their prom! Haha funny how things work out in life, as the now older, single women both look at Cool Shaving Ken, now known as Cool Beard Dye Ken, and his partner Evan, so deeply in love with each other, and the women watch them with fondness but also a deep sense of personal emptiness... maybe the women find love or fulfillment on their own terms; I'm not sure.

I love the fact how ken in barbie commercials including the animated films he wasn't degraded as a doll but in the live action movie they tried to portray how he's treated badly !!

A piece of ice grows it back, or it would come come back after a few hours of leaving him alone. Warmth made the beard go away. Cool made it grow back.
