    When she sang it in Italy, at the festival of Sanremo in 1987, She got a standing ovation and the public asked to sing it again and she did it. What a voice!!

      Yes, Whitney. Not Mariah^ stop bringing her into the fucking mix, not hating but bringing her into any Whitney conversation is uncalled for. And to be honest, getting old. Seriously.

    The days when there is no autotune.. no effort on social media.. no annoying dancers at the background.. no celebrities trying to join the singing and outdo the artist.. no screaming from the audience.. but ONLY pure talent, pure soul and pure voice.💗

    I always cry when I see Whitney. She is so young here. Her beauty, her charisma and her voice are overwhelming. Seeing this recording makes me happy and sad at the same time because I know how her Life developed later ...
    But that doesn't change the fact that I thank God infinitely for giving this wonderful human being to this world.
    I hope with all my heart that she was happy in her life.
    R.I. P. Whitney.

      I dont think she was necessarily happy. Everyone now believes money can buy happiness, it may be able to save from extreme unhappiness, being without a place to live or food and such but it cannot make some one really love you and other things of that nature. Why do alot of famous people turn to drugs? I feel its escapism...because they are not happy. Her and Bobby Brown that was far from happy.

      Today’s singers besides like Beyoncé don’t have the range/emotiveness/technique to ballads. They require fioritura/coloratura on the legato passages(Mariah), Dynamic Control (Whitney) from start to finish, and stamina (Céline) to power through bridges/climaxes.

      I actually think that 1994 after she had Bobbi Kristina is the best her voice ever sounded in the 90s. She took her vocal prowess to another level on the bodyguard tour and interpreted her earlier work in ways that no other vocalist really has ever been able to eclipse in pop music.
      However, her best is 86-87. No one was fucking with her.

    After Whitney's passing i would feel so down when i would hear her music...i couldn't even watch her movies as it was too sad... i even cried and went into shock when she passed,and i have never cried for a famous celeb before in my life !!! But now i think i can let that go...i don't feel sad when i hear her music..but joy and inspiration again...i also feel the love of music again...just like she did when she was singing these songs...Whitney maybe gone from this physical world,but her spirit and music will never die....and thats what i choose to remember...Don't get me wrong, i wish she was still here...but life is life and like she said on the Bodyguard " when your time is up,it's up"...Thanks Whitney for showing me the true magic of music..you will always be loved. Peace

    This melody is so melancholic, it makes me wanna cry everytime. I get goosebumps with her falsetto at the beginning. Her live performances were always better than the studio version, how is that possible right? They usually fix things in the studio. Whitney was really special.

    • @chasenip2
      @chasenip2 2 роки тому

      Glennis is a freak. I swear she would’ve skinned Whitney and wore her if she could. And her voice is so closer to Mariah or Beyonce, nothing at all like Whitney. I loved America kicking her to the curb on AGT. She is a true whack job.

      IT'S VERY ANNOYING, GREAT SINGERS DON'T TRY TO SOUND LIKE SOME ELSE. THERE WAS AND WILL ALWAYS BE ONE WHITNEY.

    • @shiftyclouds9591
      @shiftyclouds9591 Рік тому

      @Original Copper American Sun - Energy its annoying for you because you are obsessed, delusional and blinded. Glennis's tone is different from Whitney, but her vibrato, technique and power is very similar to Whitney and at some moments/songs when you close your eyes and listen without your thick headed narrow minded brain you would've actually thought it was Whitney singing and not Glennis. Give people credit they deserve, while Glennis may not have Whitney's legacy, she still has the voice.

My friend and I waited about a half hour in the narrow hallway after Ricky Miner told us she would be coming to the restaurant. She came around the corner and gave us a big smile. She was so tall, young and beautiful and we talked to them for seven minutes or so. She was so nice to us and signed her first album for me. It was surreal and we had been very nervous until she put us at ease .We went to her concert that night (1st row) and we were still on cloud nine from meeting and talking to her.
