I see this was posted a long time ago, but still sharing the love. Followed your recipe to the letter. Only with I had a nice bred puddin for dessert! :-) thanks!!!
The only things I did different was I squeezed a lime in a pie plate and dipped in the fish on both sides then I seasoned it. For the gravy I did as you did but I sliced my onions and then quartered them. This was delicious. Thank you for sharing.
@@southernsalt Made it last night. I loved it. Flavors were great. Only problem I had was my grits were too watery. First time making them. Never even had them before! Used cheddar and romano cheeses and the flavor was addicting. Next time i'll use less cream. Great recipe, thanks.
@@southernsalt well you were right my friend..BEST DAMN redfish recipe!! i cant see myself eating redfish any other way. Thx brother!! It will be passed down the family line!!
Man that was awesome brother. Got to hang out with you in your backyard and watch a good cooking show. Man it looks so delicious. Those grits look good man I didn't think you would eat grits. When you said grits I was like what. And after looking at that plate. I knew it was delicious. Man I'm placing an order next time I'm in Mobile. Thank you for sharing this brother I really enjoyed.
Maybe some crawfish would be good with that sauce. Definitely going to have to give this a shot. Going to snag some reds and hopefully a few trout over the next couple of days since I’m off until next Monday! Looks killer 🤘🏻
Dude!!!! I made a version of this tonight! I didn’t have grits, but I made it with some vermillion snapper from my last trip to Florida. This is legit!!!! I’ll definitely be doing it again!!! Especially once I catch some red fish!!!!
@@southernsalt I live in Oklahoma but take the kayaks to Florida to fish almost every year. Been watching your videos and our trip in May can’t get here fast enough!!! We may end up taking a trip to Louisiana or the northern TX coast between now and then to scratch the itch!!!
Looks great. If you added some crab meat OR shrimp OR even some crawfish tail meat , you would a pretty darn good Ponchatrain sauce. either way , NIce job sir.
Blackened redfish on cheese grits is about as genius as it gets! The only thing I'd do differently is use Zaterains Blackened seasoning. Very similar to Paul Prudhomme's, but leaves such a zingity pow flavor in your mouth that kinda just stays there for a while!
The dish looked amazing! Saving the video for the next time I get a few reds! Keep the videos coming!
Made this tonight and holy moly it was good. Thanks for sharing

Definitely gonna try this recipe, where do you buy the redfish magic
I get it from Winn Dixie but I think I’ve seen it in Publix before, maybe even Walmart.
😋😋😋maybe add some crawfish tails to the sauce
That would definitely be a nice touch!
If you didn't have an accent, I wouldnt trust you! Theres something noble about down easters

Add bell peppers and no tomatoes 🍅,looked good
Only thing I would add is a side table for by beer... Which there was none present! Blasphemy!
Lol good point 😂

Man if you haven't done it already than switch your pool over to be a saltwater pool. MUCH less maintenance!
Pool got jacked up after hurricane sally. I’m not going to put any money into it right here at winter. Planning on fixing it in March.
@@southernsalt Don't blame you there! I'll be trying this recipe for sure
