I have a diesel engined 50th anniversary Mayfair in the brown metallic paint. It is the most beautiful little car and really special to sit in. Future classic with the toffee leather upholstery. Would love to try the S though.

In all fairness, for this particular vehicle trim package, I think the commentary about ride quality is worth noting. The demographic targeted by the Mayfair edition of the MINI Cooper probably DOES care a great deal about ride quality. This is 40-60 year old women in the over $100K. They want a car which is "cute", but drives like their sofa.
