I like this a lot. You don't go over the top with the background music like Sheet Music Boss does and actually follows the key components and flow of the song. As one of my favourite songs, you have honored it more than I could've imagined. Props to you.

i like how you put the dark notes really close to the blue and red notes to the point where there all on the same line near the end(ish) part cause thats what happens in normal expurgation
SMB tends to turn everything into a "black MIDI" by adding ~~a bunch of notes for no reason~~ extra "harmonies" (usually just the tune but an octave higher/lower). It makes the tune less distinct and muddies the difference between lead melody and backing part. That might partly be because SMB uses Synthesia as their as their "instrument". Synthesisa covers sound way too inhuman/mechanical (maybe the notes are all the exact same volume?). The melodies and countermelodies don't really "stand out" making them harder to follow when there's lots happening. It just sounds like a solid "noise wall". idk if Synthesia even has volume settings, but I've never seen a Synthesia cover with decent volume mixing. It's alright for *learning* the tune, but something about it **really** rubs me the wrong way.

For just the piano parts I personally enjoy SMB but this channel nails everything together
