you are a gem for this video! as someone who is a baby artist in the makeup industry , it is nice to see inspiring tips from other mua's In the game!! thanks so much
I was listening to your videos loudly and my sister who sat next to me told me that she didn't mind just because that person speaks really on point, even if she isn't into makeup. your awesome! Very helpful, thanks 🙏 I've learned a lot! Thanks so much Julie 😊
Hello Julie! Hello everyone! I started to depot and condense my kit since last week. I must admit that I genuinely enjoy the process. Julie, thank you for all your time and dedication. Your past Pro Kit videos and your Kitmas series were most helpful. I did make the mistake of purchasing the full range of Face Atelier Pro Ultra Foundation, along with all the adjusters. Yep, never again. I suppose my decision was based on the fact that I live in S. Florida where I am surrounded by diverse skin tones and complexions. I want to be ready for anyone that needed service without compromise. I am new at this, I am learning. I am guessing the reason why you breezed through this Pro kit video has a lot to do with how nice and condensed you kit is. I love it. Thank you for sharing sound MUA advice in such great detail and always keeping us well informed. 💯 Best to you all and in all your endeavours. ❣
Hi thank you so much! i'm really glad you've enjoyed all the kit related videos :) Yes, I think everyone has made the mistake of buying too many foundations and concealers in the past thinking we needed every shade. In my opinion, it makes you a better artist to have to mix and customize, you waste less since you can't realistically use all the shades in their self life, and lastly it's less costly! Again, it's all a learning experience ..I definitely did it at one time too and learned haha. I'm glad you like the FA foundation though :)
It's amazing to see how your kit has changed over the years In particular how much you've condensed/cut down on products. You really have just cut out stuff you don't need/use and keep what you LOVE. It's great to see. I gave way too many eyeshadows, blushes and lip products. Mainly because I want keep seeing something I like and want to try it. Hopefully I can control myself a bit better haha so I can not waste money and product!
As makeup artists, I know all of us are obsessed with our kits and trying to find what products work best. I have done the same thing as you in the past where you overbuy things just because it’s something new and then end up never using it. It’s definitely a temptation but I’ve gotten to a point where I’m sticking with what I know works!
Thank you SO much for including your shades for your foundations and concealers! I've been looking to switch to the too faced concealers and the face atelier foundations and had no idea which shades to look into!
I’m glad you found this helpful! It’s always tricky picking out shades especially when foundation ranges have so many shades to pick from. I would maybe use my range as a base to go off of if you tend to work on lighter to tan skin tones like I do, but try experimenting with the others as well :)
So when u glued those sample jars with the lip mask etc together I'm guessing when u wanna reach the middle jar u unscrew to two above it basically yeah?
Julie, the laura mercier eye cream works too just in case they ever discontinue the Clinique one. I really love it for my kit. Always love your kit videos ! Rewatching this one after months
Ooo I had no idea they had an eye cream! Does it sit well underneath concealer? I’ve found that a lot of them pill up which is why I love the Clinique one :)
Love your organization! Try the dear Klairs Korean skincare brand. Their toner has been my favorite! Also Anua 77% and the Mixsoon toner. These all are vegan and unscented. Perfect for all skin types.
Julie, I LOVE your content! I’ve decided to really “go for it” concerning my makeup business and I have a question: I hate wedges for blending on the face, do you use cheaper beauty blenders? I know it isn’t economically effective like wedge sponges, but… I hate wedges. Please help! ❤
Hi thank you so much Portia! :) That's amazing I'm so happy you've decided to take the leap. You'll love it! Yes, actually I just started switching out my wedge sponges for the AOA Sponges. I cut them in half and use them as disposables. Just make sure not to reuse them on people.
Hi...thank you so very much for sharing that with us....do you have the link for the clear acrylic mixing plates you put your foundations....creams...etc...on please? ❤❤I truly appreciate the time you put into this video to help us all out! Thanks again!
Hi thanks for watching!! I got my acrylic palettes from the Artist Kit Company! The links for the other things in my kit are in the description by categories :)
Hi Julie, thanks for sharing with us your makeup kit- it’s always so inspiring to see how MUAS condense their kits, but I do have a suggestion, in your first aid kit replace the benedryl with Claritin or Zyrtec bc Benedryl makes people drowsy
Thank you so much! I’m glad you liked the video :) Also yes that’s a great idea. I never had to use the Benadryl so I’ve never thought of it causing drowsiness. Thank you for this!!
It was great to watch a pro MUA kit details. I am a makeup junkie since 2000s. It was more MAC and Nars dominating the whole industry with Maybelline. Now I saw you have some Makeupbymario products but you are not thrilled and maybe won't buy again. I dont have a Mario Counter at my local Sephora, I have access to brand online but its very expensive and ı do not know what to buy really. I will probably end up buying another browns matte neutrals palette including shipping that hurts lol. I am still returning back to MAC and Nars despite too many selection in beauty industry now, but for skin base I have very sensitive skin and I only use clean beauty concealers /foundations/powders. Do you get acne prone/sensitive skin customers? What products do you prefer to use for those skin types? Great video I loved watching it.
Yay I’m so glad you liked the video! Yes, MAC and NARS have always been one of my go to brands for good reason. I do like most of the Mario products, but those eye primers just weren’t cutting it. I do recommend their master mattes palette though :) Yes, I have had clients with sensitive skin. The main thing is less is more on their skin and if you can lean more toward clean brands that works the best!
Hi Julie! THank you so much for all your shares! They are sooooo helpful. I was wondering when you depotted your Born This Way concealer, how did you get it out of the glass bottles? Did you just use a dropper? Thank you!
Hi! I made a contract video a pretty long time back on my channel that’s under the Business for Makeup Artists playlist. Otherwise I do sell contracts on my Shopify store :) it’s linked in the video description!
Hi Julie, I just saw this video and have a question about the small loose powders - do you put the loose powder straight to your brush and then use it or how do you use these smaller containers?
Hi ! Thanks for your videos that’s helping a lot of Makeup Artist ! You said that you use only the born this way concealer on everybody, it’s Not to heavy for mature skin ? I like to have more moisturising formulas 🤔 Sorry for my english ! I’m a French mua !😅 Thanks !🫶🏻✨
Thank you I'm glad you liked the video! The Too Faced concealer is actually a hydrating concealer, but it is more full coverage so using less of it is key :)
They do dry out a little quicker than if you were to keep them in their original pots, but my jars are airtight so they still do a pretty decent job :)
Hey Julie I am from India I have started my career as bridal makeup artist in India. U r a true inspiration. I have to ask u a question-do u use all those product on client in case if u r not can u make a video of product which u use on preping a bridal client

I want to add the face atelier and the mixing pigments that they have. I’m laughing because I carry two foundations as my main foundations and have 20 total so 14 colors of one and 6 colors on the other and for concealer also I have 3 different types and about 10 shades of each, it makes sense what you say about mixing the concealers (I do mix my foundations) but I feel like time would be an issue for me while doing the makeup application. I’ll take 4 on a job and see how I feel that would save me money for sure ❤️ l saw your repressing video I would be afraid to do it. How have you been enjoying the Natasha denona glam palette ? I love it !
OMG GIRL!!! That's A LOT of foundations! Personally, I find that it makes you a better artist when you are forced to work with less and learn to mix to get the colors you want. Eventually you'll get super quick at it the more you practice like with anything :) It definitely is a lot cheaper as well! I also find that it's a waste too carry several colors too since realistically you can't use all the shades in their shelf life. Repressing isn't for everyone and I've even started not to do it anymore as I've liked carrying palettes again haha! I keep going back and fourth! Yes, the ND glam palette is amazing!
@@julieruby you are so right. For my Estée Lauder double wear I do finish them and replenish them that’s why I buy less of the other one since this weather doesn’t allow for dewy anything. I end up only using them on my dry skin clients but you are right I’ll try it on my next job.

Hi! Yes I use them on everyone. There’s a kit sanitation video I linked in the cards on this video :) It’s in my makeup kit playlist!
