Very nice and impressive. Being honest with you, I was a little skeptical about this stuff working in reality , until you said and explained these two terms: destruction, and moving in. This is what makes it work! Also is great you mentioned live sparring with a resisting opponent. P.S. As a karate practitioner, watching this video gives me a new and better understanding of many moves in our katas. Thank you!
Oooh!!❤️❤️ Hello from Norway🇧🇻 This is called "Kadena de Mano" in my system. Close quarter combat. I LOVE THIS!! My favorite is your number 2 in this video. It's suprisingly easy to enter 👍 Kudos to your training partner, for taking a beating for our entertainment 😉
These techniques remind me a lot of the blocks, counter strikes, and traps I learned in kung fu. Techniques never work as clean as drilling in a sparring situation, but they do work.
Grad to see you're dealing will the recoiling of the punch by following the strike back to it's origin , also jamming the rear hand is very effective, when using inside entry. Keep up the good work!
Paul, I think your videos are great. Thank you for them. Please speak more of self defense for women. Women need to learn how to protect themselves too. Some know how....some don't... Fact. Thanks very much. By the way... I live in Chicago area.
Nice video. I just got a bit sceptical about doing it at full speed with a non compliant opponent, but then you addressed the retracting arm just when I thought about it... What I like about Silat drills is that you can train for speed and tactile sensitivity. You can also increase the difficulty by doing it while walking, etc. It makes it so much better than many kongfu and aikido classes...
Please stop having him leave his hand out so you can easily perform your moves. Have him retract it and send on other one flying. It’s cool to practice slow and controlled but you have to turn up the intensity to make sure the move actually can save your life IN REAL LIFE👌 god bless! I actually train hand to hand combat my dad is high ranking x military. I have been fighting sense a kid and have NEVER LOST A STREET FIGHT!
Pay attention to what he said at the end. He said you should make live sparring with a resisting opponent, and then this not going to work so smoothly.
@@laperrablanca1 I couldn’t even watch it all the way through🤷🏾♂️ it was way to choreographed for me. Fights are not pretty in reality and that’s what I deal with...REALITY FIGHTING
@@laperrablanca1 you f he knows they wont work then why teach the movement? Fighting the s practical and tactical! Straight to the point! No need to practice when you can’t use right?
@@sunkiss-da-dreadisrael4561 Sorry, I didn't mean to say it won't work. I meant to say it won't work so smoothly. He said 2 key terms: destruction (of the limb) and move in. This what it makes it work. In the video he just showed a technical demonstration
It’s always an honor getting slapped around by PI !! Couldn’t ask for a better instructor!! Kali Center is forever growing. What a ride!
Thanks for taking it bro! 👍🏻🙏🏻🤺
You were awesome, be in more videos!
Any damn time!
To all the doubters, these entries can in fact work, it's just that they need a million repetitions first
I am a Filipino and I'm proud and and happy seeing this drills because I am practicing too this art

Both. Depends on which technique 👍🏻

Is there a video where I can learn parry three?
Just for watching.. Only good in video

Yes, and many Kali techniques also originate from Europe. The world is connected. 👍🏻
