Hi everyone, this is Mike's fiance taking over. At the moment, Mike is fighting for his life against cancer that he has in his brain. In November 2019, Mike had a seizure and things have been up and down for us since then, now is one of our lowest moments, but we keep our fighting spirit up. If you'd like to contribute to help, please check this GoFundMe page I set up for him ( bit.ly/2zj3Obx ) or please help to share the words. Any forms of love and support really mean a lot to us. Mike has been sharing his wonderful journeys and knowledge to us through this youtube channel, his website, FB group, and IG. He's even still dedicated to updating job vacancies on his FB group and answering questions from new pilots and writing useful blog posts during chemo. He's very pleased when we read to him how he's dedication has been getting more and more good response on the internet. Take care and tell your loved ones that you love them as much as you can :) --Citra (Michael Goullee's Fiance)
@@murugurthy hi there, I am Mike’s fiance. Mike passed away on the 30th of June 2020, he lived one of the best lives, leaving us with good memories and inspiration. We miss him everyday.
@@craftopiaid6237 I am extremely sorry to have learnt of Captain Mike's Demise. I was personally a little devastated and upset for a while. Our captain is always with us!
Thanks for your support, my fiance, Michael Goullee, passed away on June 30th 2020. We feel grateful that he documented parts of his life on this channel so that we have something to look back of his legacy :)
Hello Mike. I watched and could not see any flap extended on this approach. If that is accurate please elaborate. I always utilized flaps unless there was an extrordinary cross wind. Great video and best of flying to you.
Howsit, it is not the easiest to see, but if you look at the registration and then slightly to the right you will see the flaps are down. I always use full flaps for my landings, need to come in slowly to a lot of the strips
@@FlyhighwithMike I felt certain I was simply missing the flap extension. Thanks for the reply. I have done a fair bit of grass and un-improved strip landings in my day. You have an excellent touch though. I lost my medical a few years back, so I fly vicariously now on UA-cam.
It took me a little while to spot it as well;) It is in my opinion the best flying, I love the challenge of the un-improved strips. Well I hope these vids have kept you entertained:)
The BEST Place To Be A Pilot! ;) I could even imagine myself to stay with Susi Air with Porter. But only in my dreams, i didn't pass my Medical 1 unfortunately :(((
Really enjoyed the video, Mike. I guess it´s the first I watch with this "under-wing" footage. I would rather prefer not having the music though. Just the P&W "music" Cheers!
Thanks for always watching. The problem with this one was tgere was way too much wind noise, that is the reason there is more music;) but strive to always get better
Just an (my) opinion , though. But I prefer your last Long Alango video, both from footage (Camera position in the wing) and "soundtrack" point of view. Cheers, Mike.
Bru, how rural is it out there? Looks like you guys use goats to keep that runway mowed in the middle of the jungle ;) & Looks like some wild flying skills, awe. Talk us through it bru :) Whats happening?
Man, the middle of nowhere! Ah man, yeah it is a lekker place to be flying, the strips are normally kept in a good condition. It is all by hand though, most of the places only have motorbikes and no way to get anything bigger into them. But that is what keeps these spots special
Thanks Mike! My son James and I have been following you for 5 years since your first vid of flying ZS - MGA from Cape Town to Port Alfred. Your vids have that special quality of making us feel that we are flying along with you, and are always very enjoyable and inspirational!
Your kidding right? If that pays 750 a month, no wonder we have a shortage. Who the hell can live on that? A bum, that's who. 750 a week sounds more realistic. Please tell me I'm close FlyhighwithMike....
There are different pay scales here. And unfortunately the starting is 750 a month, if you are below 700hrs total time. You move up pretty quickly in the pay scale and it gets to be a good salary. Also everything is paid for, I have a cook, a maid, a driver and housing supplied by the company. I can save more here than I could flying airlines back home
A really cool video in a great area. What would be even better if you rotate the outdoor camera so that you can also look a little bit forward, so I do that on my videos, click once on me purely then you see it. Thank you. Thank you (y)

Great video Mike, RIP.
Very good Captain. Excellent Pilatus PC 6 .. Bye from Buenos Aires. Argentina.
Thanks for watching from the other side of the world;)
Awesome footage, I would love to fly the PC-6.
Thanks so much! It is a dream to fly:)
@@FlyhighwithMike - To bad they stop building them 😟
Ya, it is a pity. But hopefully some company can buy the building rights, like what happened with the Twotter
Simply awesome! You look as young as my son, fly safe and take care.
Ha ha thanks, I will take that as a compliment;) i am 29 by the way. Thanks for watching

Excellent film footage and sound. The soundtrack wasn’t necessary.
more than 200 jumps from the pilatus, greets from Europ Belguim
Thanks for watching, it is an amazing plane!

Ah sorry about that. The medicals are not easy. There always plenty other ways to get involved in aviation. 👍🏼
Now that is a landing light. 😱
Interesting and good flying, safe landings
Thanks David!
Great video! What's that stick/bar sticking out from under the wing. It seems to move. Does it have something to do with the ailerons?
It is from google "aileron balance weight arm". Basically a mass balance helping with the forces of the ailerons. Thanks for watching:)
Flying by the seat of your pants is the ultimate way to learn and have fun as a pilot :D
Absolutely! I think it should be a requirement to get some hand flying experience before guys move to the airlines!
Spot on landing! Fantastic!
Thanks! Always a challenge though
Good performances of the young pilot
Thanks:)

Thanks so much, I still remember the first comments:)
James and I remember yours too. They remain his inspiration to become a great pilot like you one day.
How long Is that runway?? It's look very short
It is around the 550 m mark and up-slope, so not too bad:)
Yewwwww two angles and drone footage
Soo many angles;)
Um dos lugares que mais tenho vontade de conhecer é a Indonesia, me lembra muito algumas paisagens do Brasil!
It is a beautiful place here and we actually have quite a few Brazilians flying for us. Brasil is on my list of places to visit one day:)
Really love this vids, how it feels landing with tailwheel a/c?
Thank you so much! It is always a challenge, that is why I love it so much. Every landing is different:)
Do those routes keep you pretty low the whole time?
I am generally cruising at 8 to 9 thousand feet msl. But when I get to the strip I need to keep pretty close to the terrain to keep my approach safe.
Awesome, awesome, awesome!
Thanks for watching Malves
Is that bank normal? Sure is sharp.
It is about 40°, mainly because of the tight areas.
FlyhighwithMike👍👍
I would love to have this job. I have my commercial, instrument rating, everything I need. But the pay is just barely enough to cover my loan payment.
Well it depends what you think we make.. we don't do badly. And everything is paid for us
FlyhighwithMike I’ve read online that the pay is around $750 USD per month, and my loan payment for flight school is $516 per month
Your kidding right? If that pays 750 a month, no wonder we have a shortage. Who the hell can live on that? A bum, that's who. 750 a week sounds more realistic. Please tell me I'm close FlyhighwithMike....
That’s what I read online... so if it’s something different, please tell me. I’d love to apply to this company.

Great video... however I would prefer to hear the engine rather than any music.
Thanks for watching Zoltan! yeah unfortunately with out the full case on it had a lot of wind noise
Great, how about videos without the music?
