I'm about lv 14 and am on PS5. My game's performance is surprisingly poor on PS5. What settings would you or anyone else recommend to help increase performance or is it not possible on PS5 rn?

Mage one from max, sorcer 3 from max, archer 4 from nothing, one in everything else but the hybrids as I have none unlocked, lol

@AlphaMachina I feel like they should of put more effort into performance, for me the crashing makes it so i have to restart my pc, so its really annoying and it happens every 20 mins. I waited 2 years for this, but if i could wait that long i can wait a few more weeks or a month for devs to roll out patches.

Because you didn't play DD1. I played DD1 before DD2 came out and had. So I understand how to go about things a lot better. You should understand most of the mechanics by level 25. Or just go watch Guides.

Good tips, I’m running the game and get 60 most of the time I will try the auto DLSS might help with some frames. Also every one is complaining about the FoV slider not existing way to slap that down I couldn’t find it either thanks! 🙏
Another Tip: In the button binds menu you can turn B/Circle into a pickup only button using your left joystick to toggle/press to run. This lets you spam the B/Circle without accidently running instead worst case your high fiving your pawns a lot as your picking up monster drops but they worked hard to and deserve some recognition too.

I wandered into a cave earlier on my way to the capital place. All the escorts except the quest giver died (I had to revive him twice) as I came across a lich. It was crazy. Got a cool coat and a shiny rock :)

Cool thing I've experienced, I've been playing in offline mode, you still get the whole pawn went off to another world, it's just all randomly generated. Only happened once so far, but that's bcos I don't rest at inns much.
Level 18 and the game tickles my pickle. All about the gameplay some of the best exploration and combat in all video games
amazing tips
Another tip for players of DDDA. I found it easier to switch the L1/LB and R1/RB buttons around (unless playing an Archer or Magic Archer).
It feels weird holding L1/LB while using (what used to be) primary skills. But it feels fine holding it for _"Secondary"_ bow skills.
Yeah I did that right away and it felt much better for me personally
For the running toggle, you can actually press the button again to cancel, so toggle is still the best option imo

So i had the same problem and u actually don’t want VRR… if yoi have motion interpolation on your tv, that’s what you want to turn on
Ideally you want to DISABLE all image interpolation by the display. You want the raw image from console or pc to be running on your display with NO interference from your displays software. This will guarantee the smoothest experience.

A tip for controller players, if you prefer the camera to be mostly circular when you spin the right stick, make vertical movement faster than horizontal, it's not equal in this game and this will help.
Tip: when using a controller, you have two buttons that activate sprint, your B/O button, and pushing in the left stick. If you set run to hold, left stick still is a toggle, so in combat you can hold the button and outside combat you can toggle
I prefer hold for my sprinting, however, I wanted to point out if you use toggle you can hit the button again to go back to walking, you don’t not need to stop.

3090RTX + i7 13700k game on M.2 and I'm playing in 4k res in locked 60fps (to avoid fps jumps) - it's working without any issues
Just saying - if you have a 4080 and you're at 1080p, you should have no trouble hitting high stable frame rates and you shouldn't need DLSS, interlaced rendering or Dynamic Resolution. You're likely rendering some crazy resolution internally since your Image Quality slider is maxed out and downsampling. Try turning DLSS off, set rendering mode to progressive and turn off dynamic resolution, and then reduce the Image Quality slider a bit. You'll likely get way better performance and still have an overall better picture quality since you're not upscaling.
If you really are seeing stuttering at 1080p still after lowering the image quality slider to the center (which should be 1:1 with screen resolution), you're likely severely CPU bound.
Wait, wait.. you are playing on 4080RTX in 1080p?? Why the do you have 4080 if you are playing in 1080p? That really doesn't have any sense. Edited - I mean, I know the game, especially in towns, isn't easy on our hardware but come on mate, you have uplscalig, upscale it at least to 1440p :) . I'm playing on 3090RTX with RT on and even towns are freeing eggs on my vents I still don't fall beneath 40fps so I'm quite sure 4080 with good cpu can handle 1440p :)
Item storage does not work the way he described it. What that does is that if you combine stuff while in the Inn menu then it will go into storage, if you combine outside everything still goes to your inventory.

Ran into random cave...it was a large cave full of poison spitting lizard thungs...tough fights. Then i ran into a freaking lion snake bird? Thing lol what a crazy fight and you have to fight in water...also i just unlocked spearhead sooo it was rank 3? Had that shield ability unlocked which saved us i think. Man that fight our max hp was like 15% lol from all the damage we took. AND THEN there was an undead mage! Bruh luckily i had a revive stone towards the end...spent like 1hr+ in that cave lol. But got good shit...this games insane!

you should have no problems hitting 60fps with a 4080 in 1080p but the game is cpu bound. I have raytracing on and no upscaling or dynamic resolution and my gpu idles at 60% load while my cpu is on fire and I think my 7800 XT is not as powerful as a 4080. I'm honestly curious if you really didn't know that because this was a big part of the discourse about the game with capcom even acknowledging that their NPC AI causes huge CPU loads.

I'm not sure how you're getting such low fps on that card. I have the same one (4080) and easily get above 60 fps consistently without Dynamic resolution on, and I use Quality DLSS.
Lowest I dropped to was 50fps in the cities, but then got the frame-gen mod. However outside of cities I easily hit 100fps+
The game pulls a lot from the CPU from what I am seeing so the bottleneck for his build must be an okish CPU.
Check the derail level slider! The middle is 100 percent, not maxed out, that is 200 percent render scale you guys. Put the resolution slider in the MIDDLE not maxxed out for 100% res, otherwise you are wasting gpu resources

Shouldn’t your max fps be set at 60 instead of 120. With a 60hz monitor and v sync on, you can’t go above 60fps anyway. Thx for the tips.
4080 cant hit 60 in 1080p? sounds like a cpu problem to me, i got a 7800x3d and 7900xtx and hit around 140 fps and around 80 in citys, whitout dynamic resolution and fsr 3 to ultra quality , all this in 2k
I've changed a few things internally and now it's hitting +60fps even in towns and 120fps in outside areas
That problem was on my end it seems :/
Still dont get it, re4 remake, is Smooth as fuck and even looks better in my opinion and now this game is unplayable on most pcs, unless you got top Components..and even then you cant play 4k 60.@@darkhero2

I find it funny that NPC/Pawn pathing causes a CPU bottleneck killing performance meanwhile I have pawns getting stuck on absolutely nothing and running off cliffs to their deaths.

I'm level 12, wandering for some quest on my mage/wizard, the framerate is a big issue on my Pc as well as the weight system in the game..

if you have a 4000 series card you can download a mod that enables dlss 3 and frame generation i get 100+ fps in citys now where as before i was dropping to below 60 and i get above 140 roaming around the world

Pc players complaining about losing some frames dropping from a steady 60 to like 50 in a town is the equivalent to a spoiled teenage girl complaining to daddy he got her a camaro instead of a Porsche for her birthday. Y'all spoiled children honestly.
Its a fair complaint. There are games that came out several years ago and a lot more crowded and these games can run perfectly. So if your game is not optimized to do so, then it is being critized based on the market standard

@@Szhusma yea I agree on the optimization part but crying just because it's 30fps when we've been playing 30 fps games for the better part of 2 decades is crazy. Some of the best games out there were on 30fps. If it's choppy and has bad optimization that's definitely a reason but not what everyone is crying about. Again though I see more pc players complaining about losing 10 or 15 frames when there still playing in the 45 to 50 range. It's a joke.
