Nice review. This one is on my "to buy" list. Regarding the maturation, to my knowledge, it's not a "finished" whisky, it's a tripple matured whisky... a mix of three different type of casks, bourbon, sherry and Marsala casks. Cheers
Guys, just bought my first about a year ago and agree on the mild smoke and peat. Great intro to those notes. And very good balance with the fruits. CHEERS. And almost as funny as Bill Burr. 😆
The Scott and Bart Comedy Minute! I came across an old 10 year Curiositas peated Benriach a while ago. It's still not terrific. A bit thin with sharp bitter smokey peat. I do like the Benromach Peat Smoke. For me it's Islay-like, so not a big variation on the peat. Mainland peat should be a bit different unless they're buying the malt form Port Ellen. I'm glad you like this cause I was avoiding this and thinking about a second Benromach. This Benriach 12 is a few dollars more but it sounds like it is worth it.
Wow Bart, did I hear you say "92" on this btl? I just picked it up nxt. 🚪 to my Dr's appointment 😂 Hey, I was bored and had some $ to blow- Anyhoo? So they had the Original 10 , it's an absolute mind and palette blower, sooo spicy and flavors, that I'm just beginning to pick out ❤
Nice review. I have an old 10yr Curiositas which was solid. My favorite peated Speyside is still the Balviene 2003 Peat Week. That one was fantastic! Cheers Dummies!
I have been wanting to try this one. It’s only $65 here which seems reasonable. A friend of mine had it and said it was hot. Glad that you guys aren’t picking up that heat. I always enjoy sherry finished scotch. I will definitely pick one up. I know there is a smoky ten out there. The ten is only $5 less expensive.
I got this as a Christmas present, which was perfect because it’s not anything I would have bought on my own (I’m an Islay guy) This is a wonderful whisky, along the lines of anCnoc’s mildly peated lineup. I chuckled when the clue was a “peated Speyside” and that narrowed it down to Benromach, Benriach, or Balvenie Peat Week, but Bart didn’t pick up on it. Did I miss a peated Speysider that isn’t just a whiff of smoke or one aged in a cask that had once held peated whisky?
Seems like a Peated whisky i can enjoy, you said the peat is not right at front, and that's right up my alley . Great job guys, Thanks Scott, thanks Bart, ill certainly look for it!

Bart thinks it is. If you end up not liking it post back here and call him a Dummy. 😁

Alan, where is "here"? It's $76 in Michigan. I might have to go across the border or something..lol
this is one of my favorites; peat and sherry with a great age.
👍

A buddy sent me a sample of this one. I really dug the Madeira on the finish. Still need to pick up a bottle. Nice review guys.
Thanks GKap
I have had her 10 and 12 year non peated and enjoy them both. Great review.
Thanks
I have a few bottles of this and I really enjoy it but don’t reach for it often for some reason
Big fan of this one!
Glenglassaugh is the other Brown Forman distillery under Dr. Barrie's supervision
thats it, thanks!
An excellent whisky
BenRiach is good stuff, especially for its price.
True
To me, this is the best liquid that has ever hit my lips.
Anything like this for the same price or less?
Nice. Keep watching and We will let you know. We always give price after the review
You guys are funnier than Eddy Murphy lol. Cheers guys
“We got some ice cream”. Delirious was awesome
Funnier than Rosanne Barr! #lowbar
haha! thanks Sir Glenn
I did not try this one. Smoky Ten I really like though (great rum casks in my opinion!). While the old Benriach 10 Curiositas I really disliked. :)
This is a nice one
