I solo full-time in my Airstream (25FB) with my pup and absolutely LOVE it! I generally boondock or dry camp for 2 weeks at a time so the extra set-up and tear down only adds about 15 minutes. I think it takes me longer to clean things up and secure all my make-up, hair stuff, kitchen than hitching up!
I like the chair. Glad it helps your back. Lilly is so darn cute. Such a sweetie. Cool she can go with you on your bike rides now. Good you are a bit handy on putting things together. This is good for everyone to see! There are so many ways to camp. So many different rig setups. But it's certainly much more involved to park a trailer/fifth wheel compared to a van or class A.
Love the chair! I’m 63 and its so true after 50 it’s all maintenance!:) Beautiful spot on the St.Lawrence. Lily and Queenie. are adorable.What a beautifully set table and meal. We sail and I really need to up my game for dinner.LOL. Lovely Airstream. Finally I realized it's way too hard alone as I am now. Sooner or later the struggle will outway the travel fun. Amber look at the length of that rig. Think of hassle. I sold the best trailer ever Outdoors RV 23KRS. My F-350 and trailer was 45+ feet long. My head spins when I think we did that for years and had to eliminate so many places we wanted to go.
It’s more fun watching you in a van. Ok I might be a little bias. But Vans seem better for people who like to be on the move or mobile and trailers for people who’ll stay stationary longer. For me it’s more exciting to see you on the move. We get a lot of ideas from your adventures. I hope you stay in your van.

@@AmberJBaldwin actually I drove a semi truck for 3 years. But, yes, I'm a truck guy and have towed trailers for years. More room...class C. That way you don't have to get out if you have to leave the area. I'm getting a cargo trailer to convert. But I'm a guy and don't have issues with other people if someone knocked on my door in the middle of the night.
Have you ever heard of Birkenstock’s ? They have seriously changed my life. My back feels better, my posture has improved and don’t tire me out. They are also comfy af and last years.

I have a velosock on my ebike also. One of the things we do is put a thin pipe insulation tube (it's like a pool noodle but much thinner) on the ends of the handle bars. That will protect your velosock and also the back of your van should the handle bars wiggle and smack the back of your van
I had 2 trailers, old female travelling alone. I had to give it up because I could no longer get up and down to put down/up levelers, connect to electric/water, etc. And when it was raining, forget it. I had a truck to tow with topper on bed. Hooking up and unlocking, connecting torsion bars was too much for my back. It was just so much hassle for a 70+ year old gal. You're young and have the money to buy trailer with more automation .
That camp ground looked stunning along the river. Your friends Airstream looks amazing. I love the dog buggy things, hopefully my son wont see Lillie's buggy he will want one for our cat. Mark & Grant cooked up a storm, amazing spread more like all you can eat buffet. Looking forward to hitting the road, just need to book appt to get my van registered and get a Ketamine Infusion, I hope our lock downs in Melbourne Australia stops, we have been in too many which delays everything when you are only allowed to travel 5km( 3 mile). Ask Dave's RV how to hid cables he is a pro at it. you can get heaps of things to use to tie them to the walls etc
@@AmberJBaldwin Lockdowns here are over the top to say the least, if we add up all the days since it started close to 7 months under house arrest basically... Ketamine Infusion is a medical treatment IV drip with very strong pain killers to reset my pain receptors, it helps with central nervous system damage. I get admitted for 7 days every couple of months. They are using it to treat a lot of things now. Depression, pain etc Without it I am a mess. mostly bed bound, before I got the infusion I seriously thought I was going to die from the pain, my heart was hitting 200 because of the pain levels I was bed bound couldn't stand. This spine has taught me, life is too short for sure, do follow your dreams never put them off. Now I'm hitting the road.I highly recommend them as a treatment.

I just sold my 23 ft Airstream. I loved it but I'm single and just never felt comfortable doing it by myself. More stress soooo it sat in my yard more than it was used. Think really really hard before you make your decision. Try it out several times solo...just my suggestion. If it were me I would consider a B+
It was so fun seeing Lilly again / missed her while you've been trailer touring / sending Loves to Lilly You've been talking about selling your Van at least since your toilet broke / now I've watched a few trailer videos & I like Avia & Lance without slides / but they're $50,000 to $60,000 at least / I think 5th wheels are sturdier BUT if the Trailer tips over while driving - your Truck will go over with it / so maybe the basic Travel Trailer is safer for you & Lilly... Obviously your travels will change & that's a good thing cuz you will be less stressed & will take time to ENJOY... Good Luck

I just worked one this morning... Any towed RV will roll the truck over if it goes over, doesn't matter if its a 5th wheel or basic trailer... Just a FYI...
I would suggest that you “borrow” their set-up and drive it up the street and try to park it…before you even consider buying a trailer. I have often heard you on your videos talk about winds or the narrow roads and you struggling with the van.

We use the larger brick style of outlets. You can plug both USB cording in and also use as a regular plug in too! It plugs into one outlet and the attached plug in bars can turn to accommodate your needs and usage. I can send you one if you like because we have spare ones! That way you can try it out and not invest in something you may not like. 🙂

Have you heard of Medi-Share? I really like it and have it primarily for anything catastrophic. It is a lot less expensive than traditional insurance. Used to have traditional insurance but the premiums and deductables skyrocketed about 6 years ago.
Sharon H. 😊 That will be fun! I make it on the stove with old fashioned thick cut rolled oats. 1 cup water, 1/2 cup oatmeal and raisins. Boil the water and add raisins immediately and let the water boil then add the oatmeal and turn the burner down to low and let cook for about 5-10 minutes depending on how soft you like your oats. I add cinnamon and honey.

You struck a nerve when you mentioned back pain. Not good for nomad life, but if you can ever use an inversion chair I highly recommend it. It's saved me from lower back pain.
I have to admit I was a little bit disappointed in your video today. Only because your description said inspired by their new 27-foot and yet you never talked at all about why you were inspired.

Can your van tow a small trailer with an ATV...a Class C could with the right size engine and transmission.

We use the larger brick style of outlets. You can plug both USB cording in and also use as a regular plug in too! It plugs into one outlet and the attached plug in bars can turn to accommodate your needs and usage. I can send you one if you like because we have spare ones! That way you can try it out and not invest in something you may not like. 🙂

Have you heard of Medi-Share? I really like it and have it primarily for anything catastrophic. It is a lot less expensive than traditional insurance. Used to have traditional insurance but the premiums and deductables skyrocketed about 6 years ago.

Amber how do you make your oatmeal? Heading to Newfoundland for a month on Thursday and need another breakfast idea lol.
Sharon H. 😊 That will be fun! I make it on the stove with old fashioned thick cut rolled oats. 1 cup water, 1/2 cup oatmeal and raisins. Boil the water and add raisins immediately and let the water boil then add the oatmeal and turn the burner down to low and let cook for about 5-10 minutes depending on how soft you like your oats. I add cinnamon and honey.

Wished you would buy you a bigger van. With more space and easier for you to live in. Do it while your young. Not to say get a 2 part camper being solo. But surely there are bigger vans. With more convenient living
You struck a nerve when you mentioned back pain. Not good for nomad life, but if you can ever use an inversion chair I highly recommend it. It's saved me from lower back pain.

I have to admit I was a little bit disappointed in your video today. Only because your description said inspired by their new 27-foot and yet you never talked at all about why you were inspired.
Kim Murphy It was more of declaration since I'm looking for trailers. You'll see more of iit in next weeks video that will help explain it more and I'm doing a tour so more to come on that.
@@AmberJBaldwin I look forward to watching you transition from a van to a trailer. I am five years out and still trying to decide between a truck and trailer or a Class C. Pretty sure a van will be too small for me. I too am concerned about backing into a space by myself. Interested in seeing how you do with it.
