I'm searching for a lightweight photo/EDC pack. Remembered this video, dialed it up again, clicked your link, and ordered the sweet lemon one in large. Fingers crossed it does the trick. Thank you, Emilie!
Hi @@EmilieT . Lemon yellow photo bag is very nice, convenient size. Great bag for everyday carry of laptop & cables to/from the college. But yellow gets dirty easily (I'm sure it's cleanable). So I just used your link & bought the pine green large photo for field use. It's very dusty here in Southern California; everything gets dirty easily, green won't show it as well 😉.
@@EmilieT Agreed. I don’t normally have my camera in a bag but this one looks like a keeper! Besides the convenience of the tripod straps, water bottle holster, and being able to carry the Mac/iPad as well + some miscellaneous.storage pouches, etc., it seems like a great all around great bag!
I use all types of camera bag and backpacks dependant on the photo/video gear I am taking out or travelling overseas. Interestingly Cabin Max make two good backpacks which are not camera backpacks as such but both can be used as hand luggage on a plane. One will easily go in the overhead locker and the other under the seat. In fact the one that goes under the seat will take two OM-1 cameras, 150-400mm x1.25 TC, 40-150mm f2.8, 90mm macro, 12-35mm Lumix and chargers spare batteries etc!!! Only limited padding so some bubble wrap is used and the main padded camera bags go in the hold luggage. This guarantees I will at least have the camera equipment with me for the trip even if the hold luggage case does not arrive on the luggage belt at the airport. 😊🥰
Paranoid me thinks this is a bag someone else can open while I'm wearing it, without me noticing. I usually have backpacks that open towards the back because of that. The best one I ever found was the LoweproFlipside 400. I gave it away a few years ago and consider getting a new one. The super smart thing about the flipside 400 is that you can open it without taking it off. No other backpack can do that.
Emilie, I would appreciate a session about using the flash and its basic parameters in macro photography. I´ve got the AK Diffuser from your link (very nice) and would be very helpful to me. Thank you for your videos.
Hi Emilie! Is the new AK diffuser more "flat" when disassembled than the previous one? One of the criticisms I have seen of the AK (vs the Cygnustech) is that the 90° corner at the bottom made it not pack flat, but the one you hold up in this video looks like it packs completely flat. I have been waffling over which to get and, if the new AK is flatter, I think it would be an easy choice.
Thanks for confirming! That makes my decision between the AK and Cygnustech simple. In your interview with Zamir, it seemed like he was about to say something about that, but the conversation shifted away from it. I will be sure to use your affiliate link. @@EmilieT
Your gear reviews are always presented with enthusiasm and honesty. Bravo!
Thank you so much for your kind words.
Good camera bags make me happy. That one looks next level. Congrats.
It definitely surprised me. Great concept and design.

Excellent review of what looks like an excellent bag!
Thank you John! Definitely a very convenient bag to have as a daily carry.

Yes great point! For traveling, my go-to is one that opens from the back. I can worry less that way.
Nice, but...OM1 and a 100-400 attached? It looks too small???
Definitely fits, just have to reorganize the dividers.
Thanks Emilie great review I am always on the lookout for a flexible camera bag, do u know if they are available in the UK, Thanx Gerry
They do. At check out you will be able to pick your country for delivery.

How many camera bags are too many? I have 4. 😊
:)
The correct answer is "more."
I can see six just from where I am sitting, lol. I keep coming back to my Billingham Hadley Pro in the end.

Yes the new AK was redesigned and is now completely flat.

@@jugstopper Any questions, please don't hesitate! Happy to help!
Oh, we're already in the phase where the 150-400 is allowed to stay at home from time to time 😂
Ahah yes i definitely do not take it with me when I am going to school :)
merci
De rien!
Do you ever go camping? There aren’t many women photographers talking about camping with bird photography camera gear, 😅
I do car camping actually! I should make a video about my set up.
@@EmilieT yes please!!🙏🏻
