Subwoofers can fail in many ways. I have seen the cones rip to shreds, the surrounds tear, the voice coil overheat and literally melt through the cone. In this case the voice coil either deformed and got cocked inside the magnet or it was too short for the maximum excursion and came completely out of the magnet and did not align on the return stroke. In very rare instances I have seen the magnet itself become detached from the speaker basket. This was back in the late 80's/early 90's when the magnets were commonly just glued to the basket.
The basket snapped off, you can see where the spoke pokes into the surround down the bottom

looks like the voice coil shot out of the magnet gap. coil wasn't log enough to stay with the surrounds excursion. or the coil seperated from the cone

Looks like the cone has torn away from spider, and voice coil has popped out of the gap...
I'd would guess torn spider resulting in voicecoil popping out, wich is why when he hits it it doesn't move.

Either the basket broke, or the Center piece of the magnet detached, but i think both the Center and the Spider caused that.

No the basket broke off the back you can see where it’s picking from the bottom. What’s holding it is the spider and some of the voice coil.
