    Very interesting option for warm weather camping. Those butane canisters are much cheaper, it’s very compact given that it’s a pot stand and at least partial windscreen built in. I just wish the head for the flame was a bit bigger on any of these stoves, because of having a hot spot on a fry pan, but as you said, it’s a solo, so not that important. Thanks!

    Super little stove, have used many times and no problems. Bought 2 more to give as gifts. Bought on Temu. You absolutely can’t beat the price 👍👍. If you’re thinking about one, get it. A cool little stove.

    Definitely like the fact it's low and stable, which is something I hate about others' systems due to the height of them.

    It's cool to see a lightweight stove that uses the much cheaper and easier to get butane cans

      Yes! There are already several such things, but all the ones I have sit on top of the can, so it's very tall and tippy! Not at all what you want in an outdoor situation. There are a number of stoves that let the tank sit sideways like this, but they are big puzzles, or unreliable, or use that tiny hose and the tank is sitting separately. I don't know if I trust that little hose! The pressure and flow of Butane here is very low, but it seems like a pyro accident waiting to happen. I think they got it this time! I swear, some of these stoves look like some kind of Lunar Module, you're really DEPLOYING it! Legs unwind and then unfold, you have to ease the hose out of the thing... all very clever but also fumbly and breakable. My first portable stove was a Kangaroo Kitchen actually. It was like a little suitcase! But it was simple and rugged, I don't know it you could break it if you wanted to. It used the big steel bottle of PROPANE, it wasn't like a toy. Anyway, this is fun, and often I just need one or two cups of boiling water.

    320 짭 몇개 써봤는데 좀 오래 쓰면 가스조절기쪽 내부밀폐 고무링이 부실해서 사용중 가스가 샙니다. 이래저래 궁리하다가 원래 있는 밀폐링 2개 각각 링/홈 사이에 추가 고무링 끼워서 안새는거 확인하고 쓰는 중인데요. 계속 쓰신다면 주의가필요합니다.

    Well done! I've been interested in this stove for a long time, but never quite saw how it worked, and it was expensive and obscure enough when it came out. Was it Iwatani brand originally? They're the best. Anyway I already have a dozen or two portable stoves and just never got around to it. It's just now that I can finally see the whole picture. It IS a little busy but very clever, just the thing for a gadget-oriented person who... went camping once. I do love having something like this in the car! There have been a few times in life when a long drive becomes tiring and miserable and cold, and it's really a treat to be able to pull out a little stove and make some coffee, have a snack, enjoy the roadside rest area for awhile. I didn't know there was a knock-off version of this until just now. Anyway, I really enjoyed watching this, very clear close-up images and a clear explanation. Ah, the writing on the manual is Chinese. I buy stuff like this that's Japanese, it might have ten pages of complex instructions and warnings, that you think you really SHOULD read but you can't!

    Looks like a little ripper! The only thing that you could add and would be good to have in the video is the gas usage and how long a canister would last. This would allow viewers to determine how many canisters they would need to pack for their planned trip. Otherwise great content as always :-)

    Damned good review. I'm in New Zealand. Not the best for alpine use but fine for coastal excursions. I have been looking at the soto original. May get this. My only concern being with the integrity of the seals and the life of the perforated burner head. But at this price, approx 1 fifth of the soto, I guess buying a back up makes sense. Adapting something to replace that steel frame that sits on top won't be difficult. Subscribed.

      @jelreviews  5 місяців тому

      Thanks Perry.... I've used this little stove heaps now and can vouch that it is a good little portable cooker that works really, really well. Bang for buck, I can't fault it👍👍 I've got loads of hiking stoves, and personally I've have never had to change seals on any of them. The burner head on this... Sure, maybe in a number of years it might deteriorate enough... cross that bridge when I get to it😊

      Update : Just got mine today. I found that the wire pot stand is stable if you place it "on" the four "teeth" which have a little cut away section facing out to the ends of the stove. There are two on each side, either side of the centrally located holding screws. The wire frame, pot holder sits there. No movement and centred above the burner. Haven't fired it up yet.Off to Bunnings for some gas tomorrow.

      @jelbuilderfilms 5 місяців тому +1

      @@PerryMarshallScott Thanks very much for pointing that out. I just went and checked mine and spot on, that's where the wire frame is meant to sit. Can't believe I didn't work that out earlier, lol. 🙌

    I like it being so compact and stable ,but don’t like the press of the flame being to narrow to cook evenly and creating hotspots. I don’t back pack ,but buying a small 4WD I am downsizing a lot of my gear to being more manageable . The fact that you think the burner may become to brittle after a while I of concern also ,but for the price it’s cheap enough to buy another . Yep ,I think I will order one . Do you know if the burner is the same as the Japanese one ?

    • @jelreviews
      @jelreviews  13 днів тому +1

      This is basically an identical copy of the expensive Soto Japanese one. I've used mine heaps now when camping and love it...so far so good for the price.

      @@jelreviewsUpdate….. I received my stove today and was impressed ,although clicking in the burner was a pain in the you know where 😂I had to rewatch your video a few times to see how to do it . I cooked a steak on it before on a 20cm x 14 cm non stick plate from Temu … was perfect . Stove is very stable ,which unlike a lot of stoves that sit on top of gas canisters can be downright dangerous .I don’t back pack ,but I am putting together a 10 L Stanley classic lunch box cooking set and this fits inside perfectly. As far as the pot stands go warping , is easy to find stainless steel mess that you could cut to size to fit on the stove . I was initially worried about the burner wearing out quickly ,but it seems to be fairly robust . All in all ,atm , pretty happy with it ! Cheers
