RTIC Cooler Review 65 Qt Ice Test Comparison Vs OtterBox, Kong & Techni Ice

We finally had the chance to test the RTIC 65 Quart. Instead of testing the RTIC on its' own, we decided to compare it to our top performing coolers to date. The RTIC matched up with a Kong 50Qt, Techni Ice 63 Qt, and OtterBox45Qt. The RTIC 65 was the largest cooler in the test. Ironically, the largest cooler did not hold ice the longest.
We tested the RTIC in the same procedure we test all of our coolers. We wanted to make sure the test was consistent (and include other coolers) so that readers and watchers could make a fair comparison between the RTIC and all the other coolers we have reviewed.
The coolers were Pre-Chilled for 24 hours, then drained down (the ice melt from 24 hours) and then topped off with ice. All ice was purchased on the same day from the same location (even the ice we used to top the coolers off with). The coolers were opened 3 times a day to simulate actual use and monitor progress.
The ambient temperatures during this test were in the low to mid 90's through the dura. The lids consistently were 100°+ On one day we even recorded temperatures as high as 120°.
Although the RTIC did not hold ice the longest of the coolers we tested, it is one of the most affordable coolers. This is especially true when getting into the larger sized coolers.
