    One should not forget the Age of Love is not produced by charlotte de witte but EDM sheeps would not know or care about this. The actual producer is Age of Love, courtesy for it's production value curated by Sanchioni and Roger Samyn, the owner of DiKi Records. Come-on dance with me vocal done by French dancer Valérie Honoré

    Had so much fun with this man! I'm mainly a reggaeton/hip hop producer but I love dabbling into these genres. Your videos are one of the major influences for me to get in to producing music. Im married with a musical artist and have always admired her and the music she makes. I wanted to contribute so I just started learning a little here and there. but when I discovered your videos and all the tips you have I set of to make my own music. For now i have to take everything you do and try to convert it into mixcraft (was free with an audio-bundle I bought for my wife XD) but I hope to some day afford ableton and get to know it as well as you. thank you for inspiring me :)

    Don't know if you missed it but the arpeggio type lead actually changes key which I don't think you added. Not sure why you would double track the vocal too instead of just using an echo?
    In the original, there's aa much bigger gap after that solo vocal too.

    How do you introduce enough timing imperfection to avoid a track sounding dead and artificial whilst remaining on the beat enough to avoid sounding sloppy and amateurish? Are there tracks within a project where absolute mathematical perfection is better while others that might benefit from more human levels of off-set from machine like accuracy?

      she's a marketing act, very much so like k-pop, people really into techno do not dig her music at all. These days it is unfortunately very much form over substance and that is why autosync dj's rule the commercial festivals. She certainly is not playing techno either, her music hovers somewhere between trance and hard-trance.

Regardless of which Env I use or if I'm clicking/holding on the little blue headphone lookin thing in the corner of the cutoff knob it's just not working. Almost as if it's not regestered I want to adjust the envelope. Only adjusting is of the Fil Cutoff.

    Why is the sidechain on the “ghost” tick? Why is the direct kick not selected? What is the idea behind that?

    • @marco83
      @marco83 11 місяців тому +2

      The tick is always there, while the kick may not when I need it, i.e. to sidechain pads or a sub bass during breakdowns. In addition, the tick is shorter/less complex than the kick's waveform, allowing me to duck the signal more precisely, and customize more.

    • @jespere.thomsen2396
      @jespere.thomsen2396 11 місяців тому +1

      Yes, as @marco83 points out, it is essentially for control. For the same reason, I use a volume shaper instead. But it is more a question of personal preference. You can also get the results you want without the tick track, but it typically takes longer to dial it in, and you need to be creative if you want it working when the kick isn't playing.

    • @Carlho80
      @Carlho80 11 місяців тому +2

      He uses a shorter sound than a kick to allow for more control of the sidechain using the compressor settings. Plus you can also have the ghost playing in the breaks where there is no kick if you still want to sidechain elements.

      @@peanutpablo9596 At least from the Release Notes, Ableton 12 seems to improve a bit on that side so hopefully, in the future, this will be an option for you as well.
      A quote from their release notes:
      Accessibility: Added the following improvements:
      - Added basic accessibility support for warp markers, loop markers, and clip markers.
      - Added basic screen reader announcements for the Sample Editor.
      - Improved screen reader experience when navigating clip title bar contents.
      - It is now possible to focus the Optimize Arrangement Height and Width buttons with a keyboard.

      It matters just as much as women rights I guess ;-) People went before her, without all the modern tools of today. Killing It, without precedents, even a lot of females, not having that title. It's all marketing. I like Charlotte, but she has no claim on that title in a fair world. She's just a good Techno DJ & mix producer.

      Being the queen of techno would involve actually playing techno, which she does not. Queen of Techno? try Saskia Slegers / Miss Djax who single-handedly brought Chicago and Detroit Techno to mainland Europe for the first time or Julia Bondar who is actually talented and does not need to rely on endless hand waving on events.

    • @odw32
      @odw32 10 місяців тому

      @@ntro9347 I dislike it when people use monarchical titles for music artists, for the same reason that genre-policing is a bit useless.
      Whether music is techno doesn't depend on whether you can (or like to) play live. There are some EDM and techno artists who only play sets, some who unload a van full of patched modular synths, and others who enjoy doing live vocals or playing classical instruments during performances. There are even artists who NEVER perform, only do studio releases -- That does not exclude them from the genre.
