piggy bank can be pretty broken. the challenge becomes knowing when you have sufficient wave clear to stop buying items - and of course when to lock key expensive items instead of spending on them there and then. some runs just have great wave clear at certain points. while it´s true that prices go up every wave, so does item quality. it´s pretty easy to save up a ton of materials if you get a good run going. you simply don´t always need more offensive or defensive capabilities to clear the next wave, or even waves, especially if you end up with a massive income and that enables buying higher quality items in later shops.
Piggy bank is best when you can afford to not scale for a few waves to scale much harder later. Unfortunately, that curve is difficult to find in Brotato, most characters that are strong early are still strong later, even without the scaling from piggy bank. I've had success with early piggy bank on soldier, but I would have won those runs anyway. The more mild style of not taking marginal items and rerolling less at the end of shops seems to at least make piggy bank break even and profit slightly later, so the item is rarely totally terrible in my experience (as long as you can afford the initial cost).
Some combo suggesions One arm/king any weapon One arm/aprentice weapon: cactus+sausage Multi task/gladiator Crazy/criptic weapon claw Golem/knight weapon rock Golem/masochist
haha i've always thought of putting those two characters toghether cuz they have amazing synergy. Random question: will you be playing with your subs if brotato co-up comes out?
Please, just one time, try buying a piggy bank (before wave 9) and save all of your money for a few rounds. Every time you hate on piggy banks, it's like you're saying, "I hate cups, whenever I try to drink from the other side of the glass, I spill water on myself." P.S. I've watched most of your Brotato content, and aside from this one gripe, I am a fan. Keep up the good work!
One thing about XP gain must not be forgotten: yes, you get additional levels, but you also gain the other levels earlier in the run.
As well, you have more information on which items to take earlier in the run because of that (considering which high rarity level ups you got)
That weapon upgrade skip was weird 35:00, even more so after recylcing them in the very next shop.
Yes, love the sound of ethereal stats compounding! Especially on dual builds and on hoard waves
When Day[9] played this game he kept complaining about the stat gain noise and I was like no! That's the best noise!
Would you please do an all crossbows run?
You should totally do an apprentice and bull endless run wave 40. I think it would be totally great and a lot of fun to watch

Would Wisdom actually be a good item for Masochist in general?
