Hey Explainers! Decided to cut a bit from this one. I've always loved every fan of every age that has ever approached me, and a joke I made about an awkward situation made it look like I was weirded out by my adult fans. Which is TOTALLY NOT true and I feel terrible I made anyone feel bad for watching my stuff! That's on me, and it's my failure as a storyteller and entertainer. My bad joke hurt members of my adult audience and made them feel like they didn't belong, which is NEVER what I have wanted for this channel. I apologize profusely for it. It will NOT be happening again. Goes to show you always have things to learn and ways to improve yourself no matter what age you are. Thanks for understanding, Explainers and Entertainers!

Middle-aged people now (I'm 41) are very different than those from past generations, we grew up in a very different time. We can't afford to not keep up and we don't like being forced by society to only enjoy things intended for our age, we're a lot harder to shame than before. I saw what my dad thought was "correct" in his 40's and he was miserable. We're very much like you, only uglier, crankier and closer to death.

For real tho, I'm extremely glad the Animation community has so many adult viewers!:> It's about time animated creations aren't seen as kids' stuff. It's already upsetting enough that the generation before us still thinks that. When I'm much older I want to stand to my favorite UA-camrs and watch my favorite Disney movie without someone looking down on me and asking if I do that because they assume I have children. How foolish of them haha.
Legit! My grandmother still synonymizes ANY animation with being for kids. I remember once trying to tell her Frozen or some Pixar movie I was mentioning, was for all-ages, and she seemed so hard to convince lmao

Best example of this is how much trouble Vivziepop had when youtube's algorithm decided her Hazbin Hotel series was "for kids" and started recommending Pepper Pig to people watching it. I really hope the recommendations didn't swing both way >.>

I love love love your channel, as a weird kid myself in the late 80s thru the 90s we moved alot so I was always the new kid, shy, a bit off and socially awkward...I'm 35 now and my kids showed me this channel and it's like a narration of my entire childhood into adulthood...thank for letting us weirdos know it's ok to be ourselves ♥️

Me being afraid of people and being very shy to the point where I talk so low you can’t even hear me 💀:
I'm a smaller UA-camr, but I have also went through the situation of being recognized and yeah. The first time it happened was when I was going to therapy, I was waiting for my name to be called and out of nowhere, a 40ish year old saw me and asked, ,"Hey, are you Wolfkeen?" I said yes and it just led to us talking for a little bit about some of the discussion and topics I've brought up recently. (At the time I was primarily a gaming/review) it even led to me coming up with new ideas.
The second and final time it happened, I was on my way out from an MLP convention. Most people fly or drive out of Baltimore, I had to take the bus. And while I was waiting at the bus station, I was recognized by someone who was thinking about getting into the community. I ended up being their reasoning for joining and I even recorded a dumb joke for the sake of having fun with em.
Both times felt awkward but I also enjoyed them.
I think one time I was in Disneyland and I walked right past Rebecca. This was like two-to-three years ago. She had just got back from Star Wars land as she was carrying a big bag with one of those custom lightsabers inside. I don't remember what else she had, but when I realized it was her she was long gone.

People just love seeing their favorite UA-camrs in person, I mean, I would feel the same way, I wouldn't be AS excited to see my favorite UA-camrs in person, because I know how to give people space when they need it.

I’ve had people recognize me at Horror movie conventions (sometimes actors from movies I’ve reviewed) and at most just wanted to buy me drinks at the bar. I can’t imagine what I would do in these type of awkward situations. 😱
I had something similar happened when I first started my channel I was in a toy store looking for Funko pops and some kid came up and tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if I was who I was kind of sat there sent me embarrassed and said yes yes it's me LoL
