  • A "standard" traditional central vacuum system includes plug-in wall inlets located in the main living areas of your home. We offer these popular enhancements to your system:
Inlets in other areas: Think basement, garage, covered patio...anywhere you might want to vacuum.
Automatic dustpan: Great for quick broom cleanups in areas like kitchen, bathroom, laundry room.
Vroom: Stretch hose expands to 20 feet, self-stores in a module that mounts in a cabinet in kitchen, bathroom, or laundry room.
WallyFlex: Stretch hose that hangs on the wall ready for use in the laundry room, mudroom, garage, etc.
Spot: Similar to the WallyFlex, this stretch hose is concealed behind a wall plate.
Chameleon: Full-length (30 to 50 foot) retractable hose stores within the piping network. Saves you from having to put the hose away, as it retracts back in the wall! Can take the place of standard wall inlet(s) anywhere in the home.
Hide-A-Hose: Alternative to Chameleon. Same idea, different product. Hose lock is integrated and can be engaged anywhere along the hose length.
Retract Vac: A surface-mounted Chameleon retractable hose station designed for garages and other utility areas. Takes the place of a standard wall inlet in the garage, usually mounts next to the overhead door (so vehicles parked outside the garage can be reached).
We install systems in homes and businesses all over Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.

I like the ideas of the Wally-flex, the under cabinet stretch hose and the Can-Sweep, not so much retractable systems because as they get older they have the potential to become severely problematic. They also require just as much if not more tubing inside the wall reducing the cleaning ability of an already inefficient system. I like to keep it simple and a hose with multiple inlets is as simple as you get. I would recommend staying with the conventional hose systems and if you really want a retractable hose go for a Cana-Vac Doc-IT. Those are the hoses to get as you still have handle controls and the added option of using an electric power nozzle, still giving, as Rexair says, "the power of two."

Is that Cansweep just as noisy as the original vacpan sweep inlet?

Better design quality and efficiency for sure, the noise is going to be there still since the thing is shaped like a horn.

I've sold a ton of both. I think it's quieter than the plastiflex.
