I got a peach suhr MK spec second hand from another store! It’s the most beautiful guitar ever. 10/10 on every level, however not sure if £7000 and a soft case would make me feel! Hopefully you’d get sent one in the post or a discount to buy your own!
Picked up a second hand modern in Oceanside blue, originally from Peach, then went to Squealing pig guitars, then Richtone…. Hard case, superb instrument, can’t wait to use it at a gig….it is finished so well, but I am happy to let the wear show on it so it is a player… my other Suhr is a Burl 2015 collection limited edition…. I play it occasionally, but it is just too much like a piece of art….like Wayne drools over the white strat in Wayne’s world, I mostly just look at it in the case, as if left on a stand my French bulldog licks every guitar 😅 it would not be spared…..even the L5 never gets within licking range, still love my dog though, the rascal. 😊
I don't know if it's just an optical illusion, but do Strat-style guitars with maple caps on body (like the Suhr Standard Plus) still feel smooth around the edges like regular Stratocasters? Or are they a bit sharper around the edges, like PRS Custom 24s for example?
It's 2024 and they still put these blocky, Fender style neck joints on these guitars when manufacturers like Ibanez or EBMM have introduced ergonomic neck heel designs like the All Access Neck Heel, decades ago... Hell, the ''Modern'' models have an ergonomic neck heel, but they don't put it on all their models!
They have a traditional(ish) neck heel in the traditional models as well, they’re traditional. However, they are slimmed down a lot over a standard fender neck heel. Their modern guitars all have the ergonomic design.
My custom shop modern is amazing but the set up was so low I could not play note without buzzing. I had to have it set up for a moderate low action. I was really surprised that anyone could play anything with the way mine was set up. Maybe it was just mine? I wonder if people are still wanting these expensive guitars when other companies make guitars just as good for half the price. Same goes for custom shop Gibson's, Fenders etc. I have a few lower end guitars that are set up and pleked to perfection for me. Just as good as any of my expensive guitars. I just end up grabbing a custom shop to play most of the time. The Suhr I have was a 6K + guitar. It looks like a piece of artwork. I will keep this for many years to come.
The gigbag is because there’s a shortage on hard shell cases for every brand right now. It’s a fairly robust gigbag, though (not like fender). As for the wood, the Suhr I have is a basswood body and sounds better than all of the other guitars I have - some of which cost several thousands more. Buy what is good to your hands and ears, not what silly elitist spec sheet idiots on Reddit say.
The Wolfgang USA EVH models also have basswood bodies, remember these were designed by Eddie himself. Guthrie Govan, Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Tosin Abasi, they all have played or are still playing guitars with basswood bodies. Most Ibanez RG Prestige models, one of the most successful modern rock/ fusion/ metal guitar design, made with basswood bodies. How many albums have been recorded with a RG over the last decades? Some idiots on Gear Page & Sevenstring wrote that basswood is a ''bad tOaNeWoOd'' and people are still regurgitating it to this day.....
I know you guitar aficionados think damaging, sorry relicing guitars, adds value but I still find it jarring listening to ring laden hands slamming against expensive new guitars 😂😂
I know right! It's my pet fuckin peave 🤬 If I spent obscene coin on a suhr guitar and found even the slightest mark heads would roll🤔 Old mate "Frodo Baggins" here would be first 😅
Shouldn’t play this video, now I can’t stop thinking about that Modern trans blue. Awesome unboxing as always!
I own a few Suhr guitars and all of them play flawlessly. The only negative - the dealer spec guitars that I've purchased all come in gig bags.
shipping cost savings for the dealer maybe?
Hello! I live in Sweden and I just love your unboxing videos!
Those suhr strats are really good
very nice review and that 4k resolution make it so clean its like unboxing them more of this
Excellent, Custom Shop guitars, but without the choice. Bye bye buyers paralysis …thanks, Suhr!
I like that Sunburst Strat though!
I live in Sweden as well, and I love these guitars.
Love Peach unboxings and Suhr guitars!
You can see so many similar design elements with Suhr and Tom Anderson I sometimes mistake one for the other.
Great unboxing 🎸 lovely guitars……👍

Love suhr guitars. Big fan of peach guitars as well. Got most of my guitars from them.
Thanks so much!

Didn't mention at all that the carve top is a Mark Knopfler! Instantly recognisable.

Very surprised that these are sent in soft shells. My modern spalted maple I bought 5yrs ago came with a hard shell. Times are getting tight I guess.
Quality guitars, but pau ferro?
Is there a price decrease from previous models with rosewood or ebony? Prob not...
I would be quite happy if you unboxed the entire shipment - some lovely instruments in this video! :D
Show each guitar in closeups not just from a distance. The backs too
Nice one Sam
8:19 Give me that but without active pickups
👍
Can you show some suht set neck and curved top?

These look stunning. Time to sell a kidney
Beautiful Guitars, NO question about it, BUT for what you pay they cant even put the name SUHR on the BACKPLATE? UNREAL!
£3500k with a gigbag and basswood body.....
