  • A discussion with Emily Harris from The National Video Archive of Performance (NVAP) at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England. The NVAP is an archive of over 300 high-quality live performance recordings made since 1992.
In partnership with artsUNITE, Videocan has created 3 short video essays/ webinars on the ways that video documentation could improve the future of the performing arts community in Canada.
Since 2019, Videocan has been researching and collecting video documentation of theatre, dance, and live art in order to lay the foundations of a national video archive of performance. Along the way, they have developed presentations for academic contexts to report their research, but have not had many opportunities to present to the broader artistic public.
Videocan is hosting these general public-focused conversations in the form of a Webinar/Conversation/Research.
