His shadow moved across the ground as if there were an invisible player in my game. Just as I figured it was likely Venti’s shadow, I turned around to leave and spotted him up on the rooftop. 😅
IKR especially for me since I have Xiao and Zhongli a majority of Fischl’s domain was a breeze, Hoyoverse really didn’t account for people having Xiao, Venti, Kazuha and Zhongli
For the Summer event Venti agreed to work at the Cat's Tail however because of his allergies he decided to perform on the roof; I hope they do this more where they put NPCs of existing characters around the map so the world doesn't feel as empty.
@@aaronsbookshelfs no cuz they should be on our map on their bday as they write how theyre waiting for us etc. Its just 1 day per character. Besides thoma from archon quest has been tied up for 2 months in my alt acc now

Kazuha and Albedo together make it ridiculously easy to break domains, I had such a great time getting into unintended places and I even managed to get completely out of bounds in Kazuha's second domain! I think this was my favorite event so far, the story was fanstastic and I thoroughly enjoyed all the puzzles. I just wish it wasn't limited.
I think exploring xinyans domain gives you tons of primos, because there's a luxurious chest with 50 primos inside and some precious chest but it's your choice
the last chest in kazuhas domain is in the courtyard, if you go up the stairs a bit, there should be a breakable wall thing, one of those japanese little dividing walls
i love how i never touched the summertime odyssey event cause of how annoying it was (i stopped midway thru xinyan's domain lmao) so im glad im not the only one speed running all the 2.8 events
I did the Full Event and I can say that it was rlly annoying. I liked the fischl quest and Monas part was okay but the rest... hell nah. I only did it for the primos xD

I actually spent time just hanging around in Mona's mirage domain. Easily the best dungeon miHoYo made for Genshin, at least in my opinion. I even redid some puzzle to use certain mechanisms again! This was the first time they actually impressed me with dungeon design in the game.
I enjoyed the puzzles very much too! There is a lot of hate for this domain, cause it actually makes you use some braincells, but it's interesting, chill cause no enemies, timer and punishment for mistake, and so pretty!
Having Venti in Fischl's domain was such a lifesaver. I would have imploded otherwise. Puzzles are most certainly not my forte, but it's nice to watch others enjoy them!
Fun fact: u can take in domain picture by clicking the tutorial and then get a screenshot before it takes u to the tutorial page ( u only have 1-2 seconds before it takes u to the tutorial page, also the reason u press the tutorial is that theres no UI for 1-2 seconds ) make sure that u havent got ur burst yet note: for scenic area, go to a corner place/solid object (like walls) and then aim your screen to the solid object/corner place that ure standing infront so that ur character is invisible

There's about 2700 primogems in the archipelago alone. And if you finish all your unfinished quests, I'd guess you'll get Yoimiya even if you lose 50:50 on her.
I love how I know this because I don’t want yoimiya and an update is coming so I’m saving. I started with like 39 primos now I have so many. Events don’t usually give this much right?

There are quite a few! Finding treasure clues on some small reefs, a couple about the talking ship, help the fatui affected by the machine, tanuki on Kazuha's island, the cave on Xinyan's island, the notebook on Mona's. Some of them give like 90 primo or several big chests for finishing, so highly recommend doing them! Check the guides even, cause some are quite confusing...
There are a few more quests which you can discover in the world for primos! There's one for the boat and hunting treasure on the islands, and there's one for two bake danuki that are separated on Kazuha's islands, and there's some fatui quests which require finding all the conches (it gives rewards besides the one just for finding all the conches, there's primos in it).
haven't finished watching the video but just wanted to say that I really hope you get her! My Yoi took a while to bring back home but damn is she a joy. If anyone is still trying to pull her best of luck! I believe
I gave up on the GAA event lol, you're smart for using Kazu and Lumine I wish I thought about that when I did this domain. I had to stop playing Genshin for sometime because my brain was exhausted! I'll just work on my exploration progress in Inazuma and Enkanomiya instead. I'm not going back to GAA
There are a heckuva lot of chests out on the islands in the GAA. I used a guide to sweep through and get them all. Took a couple of weeks to work through the guide, but with the clock ticking on the islands there was no other reasonable way to get the primogems.

I am so glad I have Venti. Because he had it so much easier. Especially in Fischl's domain. And it was so fun breaking domains and doing them in ways you aren't supposed to lol
Now I understand the pain of Speedrunning all the content at last time. My exams were coming, so I left the game and didn't played it for like 25-30 days and now I am using guides and interactive maps for all exploration and quest. I have completed the quest and got the store rewards but I still haven't completely explored the map and world quests for primogems. I don't think I would be able to either because now next semester classes are about to start. My F2P soul is crying 😭
If you’re just gonna do one island for chests, I’d say do Mona’s. It lets you get to a super pretty photo point at the end! I’d say Fischl’s birds are the most tedious of all puzzles, especially in the Phantasmagoria quest. Yah the rewards from that quest are nice but it’s a total drag to do.
c6 bennett is actually v v fun with raiden imo. also if you manage to get yoi last minute (or perhaps during the vid, im only 5 minutes in) then the pyro dmg bonus will come in handy (the pyro dmg bonus is for everyone, its just the infusion that is restricted to melee)
Okay so if you wanna take pictures inside the mirages when you go to inventory theres a slight moment where your ui disappear and you can screenshot it but its hard to get the right timing so what I recommend is to screen record and then screenshot now some tips to take photos inside the mirage if you want to make your character disappear bring geo traveler you can position the geo construct and play along with the camera angles, bring one small characters they can help with lower angles, make sure none of your party members burst is full when you’re recording

Also for those quests to be completely time limited and removed from the game. Especially when the quality of them is a hell of a lot better than a lot of permanent quests. The gap between the quality of Kazuha’s GAA quest and his permanent one are immense.

Java's performance in those cog puzzles both caused me great laughs and pain. Only the last two took me around 4-6 minutes, the rest was 1 minute tops. Yes, I do need to somehow make up for the fact that I suck at most of the fighting events
Just last night I speedran this event on my alt for the primos. That was my third time doing the event. First time I did it leisurely on my main. Second time was for my friend who has no time to properly play the game. Third time was my alt. I am in pain, but at least it is over. At this point I’m confident I can do every single puzzle and find every chest easily in another run for someone. I refuse to do it again tho.
The one talking to the traveler at the end was actually Lesser Lord Kusanal, she is the goddess of dreams and the fatui machine was harnessing her powers
I dont know why I bothered, but I did every mechanical painting puzzle twice: once to solve it and once to get a good time. I had every time at somewhere between 17s and 23s lol The ONE side quest in golden apple I refuse to do is the immernachts play. I did the first phase but god is it annoying and not worth the trouble. The "voice" is likely the Dendro Archon. Should've had audio turned on when doing that lol.
For those who forgot or just didn't read anything from the event; Venti is on top of the Cat's Tail bar because he took a job to perform for them, but, since he's allergic to cats, he has to be on top of the building. If you didn't know Venti had a cat allergy, you find that out in his story quest
i used kazuha to skip parts of that domain to i was having such a hard time before that kazuha is a blessing. ALSO CAN YOU PLEASE CLAIM WHATEVER THE HECK IS IN MOMENTS OF SYZYGY THING IN THE EVENT MENU IT'S DRIVING ME INSANE
I agree about the not being able to use the Kamera in domains complaint, especially for these really beautifully detailed ones. Yah I can screenshot but it would be nice to take pics without all the interface stuff. And it’s not like gadgets are completely hard locked from domains, because you can actually use the Inazuma wind glider speed boost gadget inside. Which is pretty sweet for losing less altitude when cheesing with characters like Kazuha, Venti, etc. But still, Hoyo, give us the Kamera in domains already. Also agree with some of the domain puzzles and chests being a bit of a pain to find. I had to eventually give in and use some guide videos, especially with some of the later Mona puzzles in the side rooms. I will say Mona’s overall island is definitely worth finishing and putting the collected stars into the constellation on top of the tower. Unlocks the best photo spot I’ve seen in the game. Only tragedy is you can’t get back up there after you claim the chest and it’s being wiped after this patch ends.

Venti on top of the Cat Tail will never stop being funny to me. When Windtrace will be back I NEED the map to have a location around Cat Tail, I don't care if I get caught I just want to create the scene again and see how many people will (or won't it's fine) fall for it because they remember seeing Venti there once but not everyone will remember it was a event XD
Venti is there because in the golden apple story quest, he couldn’t go because he had to play at the cats tail and he’s allergic to cats, he said he should go on the roof to avoid the cats
My favorite part about 2.8 GAA was totally the part where I ruined Fischl's domain with Albedo, Traveler, Venti and Kazuha. It would've been funnier with Scara
I hope you at least had the in game music on for some of those domains. There was original tracks for all of them and some were rather good (Fischl's domain battle theme). Plus they will be gone in a few days. Nice video. Now I just need to finish the events two more times myself....
Well, it was very entertaining, but I`m a little bit hurt as well - spending over a week on the event to get really everything (inkl. Monas 4 luxuirous chests with the collected stars & the fatui sub-plot). Lets just say: You missed some things... like primos.
I’m speedrunning the event rn on both of mt accounts, i did the story when it released but the actual island exploration is pure hell, espicially mona’s island. I explored it for full 2 hours and I’m still not done. I wish they would have made it more relaxing, like the 1.6 event was. It truly felt like vacation getting to just relax and do fun exploration not long and complicated puzzles. I still like the event but i did not enjoy it to the fullest. This year it felt more like a chore to me than a fun thing I get to do during the day.

Java's performance in those cog puzzles both caused me great laughs and pain. Only the last two took me around 4-6 minutes, the rest was 1 minute tops.
Yes, I do need to somehow make up for the fact that I suck at most of the fighting events
Just last night I speedran this event on my alt for the primos. That was my third time doing the event. First time I did it leisurely on my main. Second time was for my friend who has no time to properly play the game. Third time was my alt. I am in pain, but at least it is over. At this point I’m confident I can do every single puzzle and find every chest easily in another run for someone. I refuse to do it again tho.
Using Venti, Kazuha, and Zhongli in Fischl's domain made it so much easier and stress-free lmao
The one talking to the traveler at the end was actually Lesser Lord Kusanal, she is the goddess of dreams and the fatui machine was harnessing her powers
I dont know why I bothered, but I did every mechanical painting puzzle twice: once to solve it and once to get a good time. I had every time at somewhere between 17s and 23s lol
The ONE side quest in golden apple I refuse to do is the immernachts play. I did the first phase but god is it annoying and not worth the trouble.
The "voice" is likely the Dendro Archon. Should've had audio turned on when doing that lol.

For those who forgot or just didn't read anything from the event; Venti is on top of the Cat's Tail bar because he took a job to perform for them, but, since he's allergic to cats, he has to be on top of the building. If you didn't know Venti had a cat allergy, you find that out in his story quest

i used kazuha to skip parts of that domain to i was having such a hard time before that kazuha is a blessing. ALSO CAN YOU PLEASE CLAIM WHATEVER THE HECK IS IN MOMENTS OF SYZYGY THING IN THE EVENT MENU IT'S DRIVING ME INSANE

Geo lumine and Keqing are best for skipping domain puzzles imo.
I agree about the not being able to use the Kamera in domains complaint, especially for these really beautifully detailed ones. Yah I can screenshot but it would be nice to take pics without all the interface stuff.
And it’s not like gadgets are completely hard locked from domains, because you can actually use the Inazuma wind glider speed boost gadget inside. Which is pretty sweet for losing less altitude when cheesing with characters like Kazuha, Venti, etc. But still, Hoyo, give us the Kamera in domains already.
Also agree with some of the domain puzzles and chests being a bit of a pain to find. I had to eventually give in and use some guide videos, especially with some of the later Mona puzzles in the side rooms.
I will say Mona’s overall island is definitely worth finishing and putting the collected stars into the constellation on top of the tower. Unlocks the best photo spot I’ve seen in the game. Only tragedy is you can’t get back up there after you claim the chest and it’s being wiped after this patch ends.

Venti on top of the Cat Tail will never stop being funny to me.
When Windtrace will be back I NEED the map to have a location around Cat Tail, I don't care if I get caught I just want to create the scene again and see how many people will (or won't it's fine) fall for it because they remember seeing Venti there once but not everyone will remember it was a event XD

The even was pretty easy tbh. But there are so many puzzles and chests outside the domains,
Venti is there because in the golden apple story quest, he couldn’t go because he had to play at the cats tail and he’s allergic to cats, he said he should go on the roof to avoid the cats
My favorite part about 2.8 GAA was totally the part where I ruined Fischl's domain with Albedo, Traveler, Venti and Kazuha. It would've been funnier with Scara
when I was doing that mona's quest my head was paining as hell because i have motion sickness man it was so hard to complete
I hope you at least had the in game music on for some of those domains. There was original tracks for all of them and some were rather good (Fischl's domain battle theme). Plus they will be gone in a few days.

Well, it was very entertaining, but I`m a little bit hurt as well - spending over a week on the event to get really everything (inkl. Monas 4 luxuirous chests with the collected stars & the fatui sub-plot). Lets just say: You missed some things... like primos.
the quest list triggered my OCD , I literally have a clean slate there , all quest , archon quest character quest everything done n dusted
I’m speedrunning the event rn on both of mt accounts, i did the story when it released but the actual island exploration is pure hell, espicially mona’s island. I explored it for full 2 hours and I’m still not done. I wish they would have made it more relaxing, like the 1.6 event was. It truly felt like vacation getting to just relax and do fun exploration not long and complicated puzzles. I still like the event but i did not enjoy it to the fullest. This year it felt more like a chore to me than a fun thing I get to do during the day.
