hope to be a crazy grandpa like this cat someday
that guy should get his own show hes so energetic
Totally agreeded
+1
Get his skilled lady on the show too!
+Catfish moto Hahaha, agreed! They are sort of in eachother's way in this video, the guy is worth a show :)
+Catfish moto He might not want to do a full show, he may just want to build only and have his stuff on others show. However, I do agree, this is guy is awesome.
Beautiful! The OLD stuff is WAY more interesting than the new!
+cigarobsession I am sure they can say that about the horse vs the car
+1
+cigarobsession Of course it is. Old stuff was created by engineers and artists, not accountants and pseudo ecologists.
+Omnius Prime yes, yes indeed.
+cigarobsession Strange comment ,it's not old for the most part it's new,was never built that way just a mix of old parts.
Please check out the other three videos that jay and I have done on his garage show twin 1937 Rolls Royce speedsters,1921 American La France firetruck and La Bestioni #3 the yellow beast. My thanks to Jay and the crew at his garage for letting me show off some of my creations.
+gary wales Hi Gary, What a wonderful creation. You always nail it with the attention to detail, and it looks like you have fun as well. Inspiring!
Nice to see the creator of this masterpiece, passionate enough to comment us to go see his other works of art...Wish there were more folks like you around Gary...
You are truly an artist! Thanks for sharing your creations with the world!
I saw the LA France
I have seen one of your cars up close, and they really are something to behold. I sure am glad that there are ones such as you that can create such rolling sculpture.
Wow, the Worlds Largest Luxury Sports Car. Beautiful wood work. Thanks for posting.
3:15 it cracked me up when Jay said, you must be good at something.
That's what SHE said!
What cracked me up even more was the way Gary answered to that: "Yes!"
I love all the crazy comments. In the UK this kind of guy is normal 😊 sheds across the land full of creative types.
That guy is quite the character, he just put a smile on my face the entire video. Great work
I have never seen such beautiful rust.
You can tell that man is very passionate about what he does and loves. He has made one brilliant looking car.
that guy is great jay have him on more often
I find it amazing that two guys completed this project in just one year. I've wasted a year putting in a new front end on one of my projects. The scale of a project like this is enormous.
this guy is a Bestioni by himself ) such a energized Man )
Gary has more energy than I've ever had and I'm 30...
+XLPCX He's a heavy meth user.. jay mentioned this on twitter
+Rage King Where i cant seem to find it
Rage King Hahahah!
+Rage King hahahaha
+XLPCX Retire right now and let your wife handle the bills like he said.... #stressfree
Gary is a talented eccentric, he would fit in just fine in U.K. We must have thousands of them.
What a beauty. The clear coated rust looks great!
+styx85
I agree, it looks better than anything I've ever seen. Wonder what he uses, how many coats etc. to get it to stick and look that smooth/shiny!
styx85
Who knew rust could look that GOOD!?
This guy is really awesome always happy and takes time on the details.
Yea, the owner is definitely a good partner to show a car, Jay! He is a blend of tech, fun, creative words and presentation; what a guy. Have him on the "show and tell" more often.
the owner has a positive attitude and is awsome guy...lots free smiles
Owner? He built it
that is by far one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen. too bad these gems are being forgotten.
Two great automotive guys driving a unique automobile on a beautiful day... what more could you ask for!
This guy did a wonderful job for sure!
Gotta love the enthusiasm of the man.
He loves what he does, and isn't coy about showing it.
I love it when Gary brings these amazing creations to Jays. and Jay just does a wonderful job of keeping this channel alive and exciting and humorous thank you Jay!!!!
It always seems like you enjoy these older cars the most. It's nice to see that.
That Guy has so much passion! Fan-Tas-Tic!
My favorite guest ever, Gary is the best.
what a lovely kind of crazyness... and the idea of making the rust the "paint" is gorgious!!!
What a great character. The world needs more happy folks like him.
Gary Whales is a total character! And talk about a master craftsman... They don't make men like him any more.
"We're a couple of lucky guys, Jay." And we're lucky to be able to share your stories and automobiles.
I love this guy ,Gary Wales...definitely a good man.
I LOVE that rust with a clear coat, it's so beautiful.
Not gonna lie I thought it was varnished wood at first!
What an astounding vehicle! It's like a rolling exhibit of ultra high craftsmanship in so many contexts. So elegant and the sound of that engine is phenomenal. This and the Eco-Jet are 2 of the most unique vehicles I have ever seen. Thanks Jay and Gary!
what a amazing bloke DONE IT AGAIN without old school engineers and designers like you where would we be well done j
Thank Heaven, I first thought cars were that big back in the day. Thanks Jay, you rock....
That guy is full of life! Hats off to him. That's so awesome to see!
that level of attention to detail and the overall taste of the creator are just breathtaking !
The craftsmanship is just insane! Love Gary's energy and pep.
The Passion this guy demonstrates is inspiring...after this video im getting off youtube and heading to my garage! He is a TRUE CAR GUY
Mr. Wales is a brilliant artist and a fascinating man .
Gary's personality comes out in his cars, always fun and interesting.......Can't wait to see the next one !!
Awesome dude. Hope he returns to the show in the future.
That old guy is like an excited kid
Well, I've been watching dozens of episodes the last week all 30's and earlier and by far this is may FAV!!! I'll take a repo and not complain! Absolutely, Beautiful! Love the color scheme!
It's good fun to watch kids behaving so well with their toys. I really like this show. Thanks.
The skill of 'old style' eccentric engineers is irreplaceable. Almost every day, I see those who mimic the days gone by, yet they have no true understanding of what it was like to cast, forge, fit & machine raw materials the way it was done from the late 1800's to the mid 1900's. Hopefully, there are still some that will keep those skills alive & share them with our great-great grandchildren. GAZZA (Melbourne/Australia)
love this guy, and what a great talent. Great guest Jay.
Holy moly. Every car has a face, it's part of the charm. This one has the face of a lion, it's absolutely astonishing.
This old guy is awesome. Such a character.
Gary is a hell of a guest! I could listen to him for hours. Thank you
Wow! Not only an artist, designer, but also an engineer!
Wow! He scores again. Beautiful craftsmanship.
Awesome car, glad to see these old fire trucks being restored, and turned into something good.
What an awesome machine. And a funny guy too. The only thing I would have done differently is swap the rear fenders from side to side to mimic the fronts, but that's just me. Gary deserves a High Five!!
+Bruce Gorney : Absolutely. It looks wrong somehow. Like they put on the ones in the front, turned the car in their garage and put on the ones in the back without noticing, that they're working on the rear of the car.
+Don Krypton That's exactly what I thought Don. A bad hiccup on a pretty cool ride.
+Bruce Gorney How did you do yours?
Wonderful.
There's just no better word for this car or for Gary.
Gary's a great character, and what a great vehicle. More from him please!
Some look at a glass and see it half full... Others see it as half empty... And a very few drink the sucker down and pour a new one! Gary is such a guy. What an amazing car!
That is truly awesome! To see the state the vehicle was in when found, and the absolutely gorgeous final result of this man's talent is fantastic. I want to see the previous five works he's done now!
As much as I love the supercar videos, these old car videos are seriously great.
This guy is really Cool! So passionate yet humble about his work !
Thanks Gary for sharing this exciting reincarnation of the fire wagon, bloody brilliant !!
Seriously these old cars are just superb.
Gary Wales is a great story teller.
now that is just an awesome way to repurpose an old fire truck
Super cool creations. I've seen a couple in person, and it's true they make people smile and gaze in fascination.
jay you never fail to put a smile on my face. the maker of the car is a awesome character. bravo guys
AMAZING BEAUTIFUL AND GORGEOUS. THAT CAR IS PRICELESS AND IM POSITIVE JAY LENO WISHED HE OWNED THAT CAR
unbelievably beautiful. simply exquisite. Kudos to the builder and craftsman. awesome!
I watch many of Jay's videos & all I imagine a rock is going to hit Jay in the eye one of these days and he's going to regret it, the man needs some good driving goggles or sunglasses...
BTW the Bestioni is awesome!
Love coming back to these! Would love to see what Gary is up to now!
That is absolutely beautiful. I couldn't imagine making a project like that with what he started with.
garry thanks for building this piece of art
Its hard to picture the true scale until you see it next to a modern vehicle! Well done old chap!
I love these videos. You're one of the only people on UA-cam who shows pre war cars. Thank you and please keep it up for years to come!
The color is gorgeous.
Also, it's nice to have an owner that is more of an animated extrovert.
Amazing craftsmanship and a beautiful ride.
i love that guy! he's so enthusiastic and his passion shows through
Beautiful car. Great episode, Jay. I love these!
Gary is an awesome guest, love his stories and his energy
this is my favorite of this builders creations, well done and just enough styling touches. when too much is just enough !
Can’t wait to see Mr Wales latest creation!! Hopefully Jay will feature it soon!
Love this kind of stuff! Please put more cars like this on the show!!
WOW! What a beautiful work of driving art. Absolutely gorgeous.
Absolutely incredible love for an old vehicle! God bless the hard labor, love, sweat and tears that went into it! Such a beautiful finished product.
Everything about that car is massive.
Wow, just a beautiful work of art...
Cymru am Byth (Wales Forever)
Makes me proud to be a Welshman to see that sticker on there
Wow that craftsmanship is amazing.
Hey I like Gary, very animated guy....that's the type of car enthusiast I like who really shows his/her passion.
This looks fun as heck.
truly one of my favorite guests! a wonderful personality and a genuine love of the craft.
That thumping engine sounds great with sub woofer, like an old aircraft. Please can we have some more steam car stuff again soon?
+LauriShowler If I had Jay's money, I would get a big frame like that and do a Steampunk version. All those gauges would actually work- and need to!
+Mark Stockman they all do work on occasion
Talk about true craftsmanship.
That thing's a beast, the size of it is just huge...WOW!
I LOVE this guy's energy
The clear coat on the body looks brilliant.
this car is smiling from the stars
Gary is awesome.
Awesome car, great to see someone give new life to something like that.
wow!!! after watching this right through, massive respect to the builder! the rust patina is amazing & looks like woodgrain. huge thumbs up dude!
