I would recommend boiling the salt-fish until all the salt is completely removed. The reason for this is that the fish contains preserving salt which stops it from spoiling. It’s not the kind of salt you want to consume. You can add a little of your own table salt to enhance the flavour. Much better for your health. I soak my fish for a few hours then I boil it in around 3 to 4 changes of fresh water until no salt remains at all then I add a little sea salt to the pan.
Thanks for sharing…you made this recipe so simple and easy to follow through. I’m going to try it and hope that my dish is mouth watering and delicious as yours looks. See you in the next video 👍🏾💫
I've been watching a bunch of these to get comparative recipes, to find the easiest, since I've never had or made this before...this is the 1st w/out adding a scotch-bonnet. I don't like super hot food, so I'll be using your recipe. Thanks
As a southern girl raised by jamaican grandparents who are no longer on earth you always give me a touch of my childhood and grandparents when i watch your videos.
How do you pack your fresh ackee to bring back? My husbands family planning a family reunion of in St. Lucia next year and I want definitely bring some back
Hey, the food looks good, I also love it that you gave St Lucia a mention especially as my family are St Lucian, I don't usually hear St Lucia get mentioned much.
Hi Hunny I LOVE YOU AND YOUR SO inspiring!!!! And what’s the name of the song playing in the background in the beginning? Also can you tell me if you use your phone to record or a camera?
First of all 1tbsp of oil cannot cook that amt of veggies plus ackee n salt fish. Secondly, the saltfish is too chunky, thirdly, no scotch bonnet peppers. Im not impressed with this as i usually am with your cooking Nope

I had this for the first time recently and now I'm obsessed with it. Sooo good, love it as a breakfast food (or any meal).
This is lovely! Ackee and saltfish is one of my favourite dishes. Love to watch others make it in different ways! Thanks for sharing Terri-Ann! 💟😍🤗😋

Made this dish tonight minus the Ackee (mine were in a can and way too soft). I added a side of plain white rice. Love this recipe.

This is surprising to me because I heard that jamaica is the only island that eats ackee, so I am quite surprised to see other islands making it
I am Nigerian and I love this dish. It is Jamaican but others like it as well and can grow it on their lands.
