- This is by far our biggest Down wind Sup attempt and we learnt a lot from it. Next one will definitely be longer.
No music in this one. Just the RAW clips and the honest truth as always :)
7ft3 DW board

Sick
Insane - can't wait to see what's next
Much longer distances and more fun. Also trying to figure out what happens when the swell gets large.
What Lift foil setup is Zane on
Zane was on the 150 lift and Oskar Armstrong 1125
That's amazing guys, I'm 70 and very envious of the gear you young folk have these days. I'm really curious, what was your average speed when foiling, and how long were you out there? Would your energy expenditure be something like running a fast marathon, i.e. just how fit do you need to be for this trip (assuming you have the essential skills)? Cheers and massive respect from NZ!
The whole thing took over 4 hrs with the walking paddling ects. But when on foil our speed was roughly 2.20 min per Km. If your efficient and the conditions are good you can definitely do it. The energy used when the conditions are good are quite moderate. At the start of this run I would say the energy usage was extreme 🤣
What do weight, so how much pos volume do you use??
i'm 95Kg and the board is 128L, Volume and narrow seem to be the 2 essential key ingredients
@@oceanpixels9408 Thanx! I,m +/- your weight and realy try to figure out what sizes to get so this is really helpfull :)
