I'm sorry for the delay in releases. I edit everything myself, so it takes a while, especially during busy times. I was just in the Bay Area and Portland a few days ago on an indie documentary job and you would have known that if you followed me on IG, so be sure to do that @KyleLeDotNet. Be sure to come back in a few days because there will be my first ever video from Ha Tinh!
Such an interesting and fascinating people. Their sense of community is admirable. A stress-free lifestyle to be admired. What I marveled at, when the dominate culture lets the ethnic people live a life free of coercion both prosper, the country prospers, and some of the ethnic group assimilates themselves into the majority culture making the country even stronger.
Great video kyle. Video production is certainly your calling. You have a great way of asking questions and telling an interesting and informative story through them. Thanks heaps for your continually high quality videos.

Ah, when he talks about how the city is so disconnected from each other. It’s so true. It can be so lonely. Humans are supposed to live communally. I wonder what life would be like if my fam never left
Love to see videos about vietnamese ethnic minorities. Many of us, vietnamese, Kinh heard about them but not much we know about them. The guy and his family was so kind. Question: why does he have northern ascent?
The architecture of their houses is fascinating, but I do not expect the people to live in quaint deprivation. That said, I wonder if architects and engineers could help them to 'modernise' these houses continue to project the identity of the people here, and yet benefit from the mod cons others enjoy.

thanks Kyle for the great video. It is a pleasure to follow your journey through your videos. Do you give those locals any gifts i.e money if you visit them or if they invite you to their house? I am just wondering if they expect something in return
Thank you. I think it depends on them if they expect something in return and how long you stay for. If it's just a quick visit, it's not a big deal, but if you stay longer, have them cook for you etc etc, of course you have to give them money or their kids money. Every situation is different of course, each persons's expectations is also different. But generally, yes. I give.

"Lá khoai mì" is not taro leaves, Mr. Kyle Le ! It's "cassava leaves". Ê-Đê is not pronounce as [ee-day], but rather as [ay-day]
Thank you for the info!
Those round fruits are eggplants. They can be pickled, eat raw or stir fry with wild pork belly.

His accent sounds kinda northern. Is that the typical accent for that area? I would have guessed that they would sound more southern in those parts
It's a mix - including central and southern, but there are many northern speakers as many people throughout Vietnam moved to the area after the war.
Interesting. Thanks
9:38...who's we? 😆 Kyle is already thinking about settling down with Chau?...
Looks like Chau does not think so hahahaha
Where is the video of Chau's hometown that you promised us so many weeks ago? Don't leave us hanging!
It’s coming. Please be patient. Editing takes a long time.
