These videos have been great as someone trying to figure out how DVC works! A question I had is if you had 100 points at one home resort, say the Polynesian and then 100 at another like Old Key West and for simplicity they are on the same use year, are you able to book the Polynesian at 11 months with the 200 total points or do you need to wait until 7 months before to use the Old Key West points?
I’m so glad you’ve gotten value from our channel! Welcome! Unfortunately you would not be able to combine the points at the 11 month window unless they were at the same resort. But you CAN combine them when you reach the 7 month window. Both of the resorts you mentioned tend to have pretty good availability at the 7 month window many seasons of the year!

I see two bedroom villas for quite a bit less than that on the disney calculator online - for example 31 points a night for boardwalk 2 bedroom and I think some others even cheaper. Have the points gone down since 2020, or is the DVC calculator online not accurate? I find it very handy trying to figure out how many points I may need to buy... So, I hope it is eeek.
I’m not sure which specific dates/room types you’re looking at but yes, the points can be reallocated annually. The total points at a resort remain the same but DVC can shift the points cost around to different seasons to help spread out bookings. For example, if bookings are lighter in summer, they might decrease summer points costs but increase winter, etc. I hope that makes sense. So, if you’re looking at the David’s DVC Rental points calculator, you should always be seeing the correct points cost for the year shown.

Good question... borrowing is done during the process of booking a reservation. When you try to book and have insufficient points, it will ask you if you want to borrow, and which contract you would like to use. For banking, you need to do that by your banking deadline. It can be done online or you can call Member Services.
