Kind of off topic but I just bought a used 85 720 rear end cause my 91 blew the diff, the 85 seems to be a couple inches shorter. Can these work? Please, need answers
Jesus Perez I don't daily a welded diff anymore becuz I put the welded diff in my "drift truck" but I never had any problems besides my truck running out of steering angle
welding the diff just means you weld the spider gears together so that both your tires will spin , factory they have open diffs which means only one tire will spin if you were to do a burnout. you can also get a LSD (limited slip diff) which is kind of the best of both worlds. you can do a burnout with both tires & also drive around like factory
Get a big steel hammer or mallet and something metal that fits over the bolts, then beat the hell out of it, I guarantee doing that plus dw40, will unlock the bolt.
Did it break or have any problems?

you will need to extend or shorten your drive shaft but yes it'll fit. I had a 85 diff on my 93 hardbody
@@STONEBROKEGARAGE shit I tried putting it on and it was short where the axel meets on the leaf springs

Jesus Perez yeah , it's not hard at all the only thing hard is no power steering but welded diff dosen t affect it

I really wanna weld my 82 but I feel like the axel is way to weak and I would snap it after swangin a couple of turns
As long as you dont beat on it too hard I'm sure they should hold up fine but I'm not 100% sure on that
no they don't want to losen up. I already sprayed wd40 and still no luck. I'm using a 17" wrench and a 19" wrachet
the same thing happen to me , i didn't want to break the bolt so i just soaked the bolts for about 2 days with wd40 and that seemed to do the trick
