Levoit 300 Air Purifier Filters: OEM Vs Aftermarket - Why pay for OEM?

I recently bought a Levoit 300 Series Air Purifier particularly for a family member who suffers from allergies (Paid Amazon affiliate link: amzn.to/3UOrw51 - Thank You if you decide to buy!). This is a best-selling air purifier on Amazon. So far at home I'm hearing a huge reduction in sneezing, so I really like this machine. OEM filters are not cheap though, and this video compares some after-market air filters with OEM filters from Levoit.
Let me know your thoughts and experiences about these filters and air purifiers below.

Usually the coloured ones are specialised ones to do certain things, like the green one is anti microbial coating, or some have more activated carbon to remove oders from the air better

Ok, well I suppose that makes sense. However, having been involved in manufacturing I know that it's not unknown for companies to do something just to charge more money - without any real benefit for the customer. But, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Why not. Thanks for the comment!
