All of these time traveling scenarios will always be limited by the lack of support structure, ammunition resupply, aerial surveillance and satellites, etc.

Resupply could be alleviated if each SEAL went back in time with a fully loaded deuce-and-a-half with fuel trailer.

Thank you for the update, The Infographics Show..!! The first time the Underwater Demolition Team was ever documented was back in the 16th century in Korea. The UDT soldiers were highly trained Africans from Mozambique, who were a part of the Portuguese merchants' army, and they have successfully destroyed multiple Japanese ships by discreetly creating holes under water at night. Their unit's official name was 'Sea Ghost', and the Ming Dynasty provided them to Koreans in order to repel Japanese invaders.

The truth is that such technological units would be ridiculously ineffective and inferior, the technological dependence of current armies means that a military unit that ends up in the past simply has an initial advantage in weapons, but they would be in worse conditions as they lack resupply or means. to maintain their equipment, unlike the rest of the military.
On the other hand, a soldier from the past could be reconditioned for modern warfare, this is because it is easier to learn the modern with ancient foundations than to forget the present in favor of the past.

Also the fact that US logistics and decentralized command is second to none. Our seals also have the best equipment our 800 billion dollar defense budget can give. Quality is a trademark of the United States special operations command. We worked with SAS before and they have their strengths and weaknesses just like we do. If you need anything 50 miles from water destroyed or killed, you send in the seals. If you want to go behind enemy lines for sabotage my money is on the SAS. The seals are the best in the world at CQB but SAS is the best in clandestine operations and sabotage. All special forces can’t be compared and shown which is definitively better because different circumstances call for different soldiers.

I read a fantastic book called Escape From Hunger and Premature Death that covered this war. It proposed that nutrition was a key factor in the colonies winning the war. The average colonial soldier had access to about 2000 calories a day, where the British had more like 1700. So, nutrition is key to the success of any venture.

I'd like to see a video on the contribution Poland made to US success in the Revolutionary War. It's shamefully under-taught as with most things in schools and colleges. I'm not Polish, but having lived there for over a decade and studying Polish history, I was amazed at the relationship Poland has with the US. There's a reason that Polish surnames are so prevalent in the Ohio basin and New England. It's not simple immigration - lands were awarded to Poles that came under the Polish kingdom to aid in the war. While the US was not the first to adopt a Constitution, the success of America's war against Britain was the underpinning of Poland following suit. This would make an awesome video guys, hope you'll look into it!

(It's several years since I read it so I'm not 100% sure of all the details.)

They of course took rifles. but also water/air-tight containers of .22LR and little 22 pistols with silencers and subsonic ammo.. deadly up to 40 feet if in the head. and their night vision. most of the work was done at night with thermals. they went after the cannons first, by morning the artillery crews were dead and big penises were drawn on the cannons. then they eliminated the ships. the close ones. just a buncha incindiery grenades. about 2 per ship. all you need for wood... waited till all were ready to toss them up and did it at once and swam away with scuba gear. then they hid in t he tree lines with their rifles and watched the hillarity ensue. repeat next evening.

That question about what if an F22 went back to World War I got me really curious. I instantly thought of a plane approaching from beyond visual range, firing a single missile as it closed in above the speed of sound.
The planes not entirely evaporated, would be on fire at minimum, the others shaken, would be again when the shockwave at close range violently shakes the planes apart if not knocking the pilots out. One could simply bomb an airfield, the entire German side of the Maginot line, whatever.
