This was the first Soundgarden song I ever heard back when I was 5 years old. I'm 26 now. I'll also never forget his work with Temple of the Dog either.

Was at that show also at Nautica!? for Superunknown! What an amazing show an all-time favorite. Recall it was raining, cold and miserable outside but just stood there mesmerized. That voice just knocked me right over! Fortunate to have seen the Louder Than Love show at the Phantasy Theater as well as Audioslave and Cornell solo... Chris, "No one sings like you anymore"

I saw them around this time. It was just before Badmotorfinger came out and they were playing a bunch of shows in Seattle un announced. But me and my friends had the inside scoop and heard Soundgarden was playing. One time they posted on the billboards that the Jackofficers were playing. So we went to see the Jackofficers and saw Soundgarden instead.
One of my favorite songs of all-time. Thank you Mr. Cornell. Damn I miss the 90's. True Freedom.

Whatever happened to the raw footage from the Hype! documentary/My Wave video shoots? Two show in Canada late on the Superunknown tour were filmed.
That would be the ultimate live Soundgarden release for me! I was at the Calgary show at Max Bell Arena. Aug 11/1994. I'll never, ever forget that one. I can remember the film crews in there, and after just recently watching Hype again, I totally remember those red seats. Plus they flash the ticket stub, so I know for sure haha.

SoundGarden is one of those bands that with RARELY exceptions ALL the members are top level musicians, just like the Beatles or PinkFloyd, where all the members were talented and multifaceted.
The bassist (Ben Shepherd) is a monster, the drummer (Matt Cameron) is a killer, the guitarist (Kim Thayil) is breathtaking in the tuning and complexity of the riffs, and Cornell sings like a God of Olympus, as well as playing very well, it's a band that has everything in terms of music, composition, chords, sonority, it's like a classical music show where the Maestro is rock n roll.
RIP Chris :(
