What I like the most about this band is that the members never get tired of smiling, obviously the students are having the best time of their high school days.
Pure magnificent energy of Joy!! There is no other band like the Kyoto Tachibana SHS band! They are a joy to watch and a pleasure to listen to as well!
I envy the public who get the chance to experience the KTSHS Band play and match in person....these students (and parents) represent the best in Japanese tradition... Always the best, and these students are the best

You know when you have " Tachibana Syndrome " when you hear " Sing Sing Sing, Down by the riverside, Super Mario and FIREBALL" ringing in your head all day long..But man I think " Gangnam Style is super on point. I don't think they performed that at the Rose Parade?.. I think that would have been a riot with the crowd. Thanks for the upload!!
i'm always fascinated by the amount of precision displayed by Kyoto Tachibana High School musical and dance work! They ARE the very best and thanks for the great video work. I love their enthusiasm, skill and musical ability! Bravo.... from USA. the average person would have NO idea how much work and practice it requires to perform as the do..... countless hours and it shows. No slackers in this band.... NONE

These young adults are the absolute best. I'm awed by their performances, skill and talent. Hats off to all of them, including the instructors. Talented, hard working band. If you've ever marched before, you will recognize all the work that goes into their music and dancing!
I quit getting depressed many years ago .Tachibana would've truly lifted my spirits 'back then' . •Nowadays "Kyoto's Bright Delight" inspires💥 my smiling 😀thoughts to joyous...levels .🌞 •
Where were all the normal number of TK Support Crew running security? The rear guard got overrun and the lady in the blue overcoat resorted to aggressively shoulder-checking people to get them out of the way. I think she would have received a lot more cooperation if she had been wearing a black "Supporter" jacket and arm band. There may come a time when the band's popularity reaches a point when the school might have to hire professional security instead of enlisting volunteers.
After this parade the seniors are almost going to stop 20 months performing in the band and transferred to the sophomores marvelous and excellent percussionists colleges are waiting for you all of you have got feed back from your sweat tear hard work best memory period deep rooted in your heart.
The Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band is the most famous H.S. Band in the world, mainly because they have participated in the ROSE PARADE in CALIFORNIA more than one time, therefore they were seen on TV, world wide, This great Band is a Band well disciplined. The Japanese people are very proud of this Band, when the Band Parades down the street there's always a Hugh crowd too see them on both sides of the street, often there are many American among the spectators ~USA
You know if I were born in Japan and joined KT in the future I would be in the 122th class. You do the maths. KT was 115 years old (115th class) in 2018, so they were founded in around 1903.

@@Eli-eg5zj They are all very good. But then they have to be to be part of KT band. Your favorite is called the Drum Major. Did you know they are elected to that position by the other band members. That is different than here in the U.S. where they are chosen by the Band Director.
Would be marvellous to have an official appreciation website, with the biographies and photos of all of them in all these years, the story of their parades, curiousities...... It would be a great thing also to promote them, apart the joy of their fans around the world!!

Remembering the joy they gave us with their smiles, their music and their strenght! I am grateful to them, since they gave me optimism after a bad period, and still they give it to me. A sort of an example to follow. Looking at them recalls me the good days when I was also in an high school, we had nothing of this kind. When they march, I feel like I am there with them, full of energy and giving joy.

An "official" nickname and to your point, a fan nickname which is made up since the official nicknames are as secret as their actual names. The "secrecy" is due to what both you and Munirah Bakar eluded too...to protect the personal information of the student and help to avoid concerns of negativity which can often be associated with social media. Don't know if KT fans noticed, but in 2019, there was a point where there were a lot less video posted of KT events. In fact there was a time when there was almost a complete "social media blackout" surrounding the band, as posts were being removed from social media sites at the request of the school and the parents. It appears there has been a compromise and we slowly get to enjoy KT again. Hmmm....notice the comments turned off on many of their videos? 🤔😉 Getting back to the nicknames. The band's Senpai. Sr/3rd Graders. make up their "official" nicknames for the 1st graders after they enter the club. They are referred by their nicknames in their club for the 3 years they are in the club. Even the parents adopt the child's nickname... for example if the student's nickname is Penguin, her mother and father would be called Penguin-chan Mama or Penguin-chan Papa by the other students. Like anything else, information does "leak" from time to time and their official nickname or, in very rare occasions, their real name is sometimes revealed, but as fans of KT, we follow the unwritten rule of not using it. All these kids are phenomenal artists. They are appreciated by the fans as Tachibana. I think you will agree that it is best to protect their privacy and not identify them individually. They are just wonderful kids and a pleasure to see each class stepping up to the plate to maintain the quality of the band's performances. These videos are very much appreciated worldwide. Penguin is really cute and talented. It seems that most of the percussionists are cross-trained with all of the instruments.

パレード終了後にシンバルの紐？を大事に手に握りしめて、後ろのバスドラムの先輩の子に優しく声を掛けられ涙ぐんでいるところが印象的でした。最後まで演奏出来なかったから涙しちゃったのかな？でも素敵なパレードでしたよ。
途中で紐が切れたようですよ。それでも笑顔でステップ踏んで続けることに頭が下がります。

橘高校吹奏楽部の選曲はどれも最高ですね！振り付けもそれぞれの曲にすごくマッチしていて、細かい動きまでセンスの良さをとても感じます。個人的には、新しい選曲（3:23から始まる曲）の切れの良いリズムと勇ましい振り付けも特に好きです。よく見ると、沿道の観衆の中にもリズムをとっている人が何人かいらっしゃいますね。
