Tachibana always seems to get that full, rich, orchestra sound in all their performances. Their musical and choreographers have got to be among the best in all of Japan. All the right instruments to get that great sound. They also find a way to perform all those great dance moves while lined up under a pavilion. They never stand still, they're always in motion, but I love everything about this band. I've been a fan for several years, finding them on UA-cam, but with their recent trip to here in America, they've gained untold thousands of new American fans. There is just something about this band that sets them apart from all the rest of the worlds best High School Bands. It's hard to describe, but they are simply GREAT!
They were supposed to have 2 times marching performance in the morning and afternoon but it was replaced with this performance in the morning time owing to weather condition.
What will really bake your noodle is that it's the girls themselves that come up with the choreography- they have no choreography coach at the school. Anyone in the band can suggest the moves, (and the music as well) and if it's decided to do it, then the sections leads meet and discuss it, and work out how to get it into the march. ..Joe
hmm I agree with some, but: Tachibana has no rival in Japan, if u watch some of the competitions, you will notice, that no one is able to perform even close to their level. It's no wonder that they have already performed twice at the Rose Parade which is the the highest stage you can reach internationally. Furthermore hey get booked to perform at disneylands all over the world and more. And even at the rose Parade they left a striking image.. Don't underestimate this school and it's legacy, they are actually one of the most renowned and best marching band in the world.
I love these kids! Nothing phases them. They lose a shoe, they keep going. Even watching the Rose Parade, all the stopping and starting and they just kept playing. They are SO remarkable. I have never seen a group more fun to watch.
@@serhiychayka4749 they are madness... not only those kids, Japanese junior and senior high school kids has a thing call: "club activies" and they will do it after they finish school which is from 8 am to 16:00 pm, then after that they stay at school, practice their club (baseball, basketball, marching band, kendo, archer, swiming, name all the things you want...) until 19:00 pm. I told you, it's madness... thankfully Japan don't want to invade other people land again.
It never ceases to amaze just how versatile Tachibana student/band members are. The new Drum Major and main drummer, both moved into their roles wonderfully. Student band members graduate and new ones take their places. All future Tachibana band members are already musically trained in the lower grades and ready to move up once they become 1st year students. The only thing they need to do is learn how to march the Tachibana way, which is no easy task but most seem to make the transition.

IThe Members of O-VILS are the cream of the recent Terms of the Band going as far back as two members of the 107th Term. I would like to see many more of the viewers become Subscribers to O-VILS. So far every performance has been an increase in members. Years ago, after John Phillips Sousa retied from the U. S. Mrine Corps ,he travelled bout with a large group of bandmembers. I watched practically all the available videos of the KyotoTaschibana school. Each of them a pleasant surprise. For me, the best band in Japan. In choreography, the best in the world! A masterpiece. The dedication of the students is of unparalleled grandeur.
I couldn't agree more! I love this group! It reminds me of what music should be...fun, exciting, inviting and extremely enjoyable. They are an example of all that and more; and maybe I should say to top it all off... an example of excellence!

David Gamarra, it's not a girls' band. It has some boys, too, but (it was explained in another video) culturally, boys in Japan avoid the arts and instead do almost exclusively sport.
What a great video. I'm a big fan of KT SHS Band for all the reasons most of us are. In addition to being extremely talented and dedicated they are simply so much fun! They always smile and entertain us and this video shows that not even really bad weather can affect that. I've often thought about learning to do the Colour Guard's choreography to, 'Sing Sing Sing' as a challenge to see if I could do it because it's very aerobic and this video shows this perfectly. The colour guard don't often get to be the focus of attention but they do a great job and I'm really happy this video was shared. It really shows how fit they must be! Well done again to the best and most entertaining marching band in the world! :-)
Tachibana has a universal effect on all who are lucky enough to see them perform- they make people happy! And is is so very needed now. They are always shining that bright light with their smiles and music, dance. They are very special. I love Tachibana! USA fan.

Sing, Sing, Singの何がいいって、カラーガードさんのダンスがほんとにカッコかわいいよね
SING SING SINGは2005年以降 京都橘の十八番として生徒自身が取り入れたようで、そしてダンス、振付も生徒自身が考えたもの。今も尚守り続けていて、少しづつアレンジしている様子です。このプロデュース力

驚きと羨ましさで泣きました。
そうですよね。最後のSingには涙腺が緩みぱなしです。他の楽曲のカラーガードの４５度に保たれた腕、フラッグも格好いいです。

今度のメンバーでは何故かトロンボーンの一番小さな子に目が行ってしまいます。あの小さな体でみんなの動きについて行くのに感心してしまいます。
彼女たちはプレヤーであると共に、スポーツ選手並みのアスリートですね。水泳選手並みの肺活量があるでしょう。練習は大変みたいですが、橘吹奏楽部の誇りを持って頑張って下さい！！

しっかし演奏しながらこれだけ動いていても皆さん体の軸がまったくブレないんですね。本当に凄い。一体どれだけの努力が積み重ねられているのかと思うと心底感服します。
久しぶりに所さんの番組見てたんですけどその時は大会前のだったので鬼のように過酷で厳しい練習でしたね😱

橘高校の動画の演奏聴いてると涙が溢れ止まらなくなるのです。

この年は3人のカラーガードさんですが、皆さんとっても可愛くて、キレッキレッのダンスです。(笑)(笑)
その中でも今日の主役のカラーガードさんが、3000人の吹奏楽でローズの独奏で演じた優雅な舞は、何度見ても秀逸で大ファンになりました。
橘の皆さんからは、元気を貰えて感謝の言葉しか有りません。
フラッグも楽器の様に丁寧に扱われて生き生きしていて橘のCGさん達のレベルの高さは唯一無二ですね😍

確かにオレンジの衣装は可愛いのですが、ウィンドブレーカーにジャージでも感動を頂けました。
目前でカラーガードの子がフラッグを落としてしまいましたが、そんなことは覚えて無いくらいその後のパフォーマンスは見事でした。
多少のアクシデントやトラブル、障害をものともしないのが橘の凄さだと感じます。
商店街のパレードとかでは、道行く人とぶつかりそうになったり、信号待ちや踏切待ちがあったり、マーチングショーでもサッカーボールが跳んできたり、マイクの音源がイマイチで調整されたり、ドラの音にT-REX転倒が間に合わなかったり、T-REXが楽屋に戻るスペースが足りなかったりしても、橘パフォーマンスは揺らぐことなく感動を与えてくれます。
以前から旗が絡んだ時の「クルクル」する仕草が可愛いと思っていたけど彼女はしないのに自然な動作で絡みを外すテクニックが凄い。
実は達人なのかしら。

天候でシチュエーションが変っても期待に応える対応力、素晴らしい。
彼等の魅力にはユニフォームの力がかなり大きいと思っていますが、最大の原動力はやはり彼等自身が積み上げたパフォーマンス能力だと確信しました。
演奏と振り付けのしっかりしたスキルがあってこそこの魅力。
ユニフォームと笑顔はもはや観衆にとって過剰なほどのオマケかも知れません。

室内でしかも至近距離で迫力あります。メンバーの練度が半端ではないことが伝わってきます。 又、室内ということで音響効果も変化してて個人的には好きなサウンドです。

皆さんの揃った振り付け、楽しそうな笑顔が大好きです。
音が柔らかくて優しいなあと感じ、演奏も大好きです。

What a great video. I'm a big fan of KT SHS Band for all the reasons most of us are. In addition to being extremely talented and dedicated they are simply so much fun! They always smile and entertain us and this video shows that not even really bad weather can affect that. I've often thought about learning to do the Colour Guard's choreography to, 'Sing Sing Sing' as a challenge to see if I could do it because it's very aerobic and this video shows this perfectly.
The colour guard don't often get to be the focus of attention but they do a great job and I'm really happy this video was shared. It really shows how fit they must be! Well done again to the best and most entertaining marching band in the world! :-)

Tachibana has a universal effect on all who are lucky enough to see them perform- they make people happy! And is is so very needed now. They are always shining that bright light with their smiles and music, dance. They are very special. I love Tachibana! USA fan.

this band is absolutely phenomenal! I love the music selection, the stamina of each musician, and no matter the circumstance, they keep playing their hearts out and performing to the best of their ability. Simply amazing! Can't wait to see more videos of this band.

こちらの動画を拝見して、CGさんの可愛らしさ、振り付けの細やかさ、などあらためて発見がありました。笑顔を絶やさないCGさん。ジャンプする前に両手で一回グーを作るところがかわいすぎ。何度見てもツボです。ほんとうに隅々までよく考えられた振り付けですね。

４０年以上前にオレンジユニフォームを考案された方は『天才』だと思います。
