I wish I could be like you Rory, and not care about numbers in the youtube game, or self celebrity status, this is raw, pure, content, and it is so refreshing to see your beautiful family flourish and be happy.
I think he cares, but only enough to keep the lifestyle going that they have on the farm, particularly for Indy's sake. And he seems to be working to make it comfortable and self-sustaining. He is giving her a wonderful life!!!
Joel said it so right! A couple years ago I had the “ah ha!” Moment and started growing our family veggies, herbs and such recently got laying chickens, hopefully meat birds soon. Thank you Rory for another great video!
Thank you, may the Lord bless many people with His love and rest and peace of the future and keep us in His hands no matter the situation. In Jesus name Amen
I recently discovered your story and began watching "The Life I Live" series. I have wept with each video! Today, particularly, was a day that came in like a crashing wave as grief ebbs and flows! My 53-year old husband passed away 10 months ago from Stage lV colon cancer that became terminal. He had 6 months to live from diagnosis to death. It was not anything we ever expected and our world came crashing down! While your videos have given me some solace and hope, they also bring many questions of what my future will look like. I was 5 years older than my beloved and will be 60-years old next year. While I don't feel that "old", I also know that my husband and I still had so many more adventures and life to live as we planned our future and retirement and what that was going to look like. One of the things we spoke about is homesteading! So much to share, but each episode has caused so much emotion in my heart. Will I live out my days alone? Who will take care of me if/when I ail? I don't want to stop living but imagining living the rest of my days alone brings a lot of anxiety! When my 19-year old son spreads his wings soon, what will I do each night at home alone? Currently, I look forward to him coming home and it helps ease some of the angst and grief because although I am no longer a wife, I can still be a mom. I am trying not to compare because I know that each life story is different, but you are so incredibly blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful family and friends. Boy do I long to have that as a part of my life! Watching your story is a breath of fresh air and I would love to purse the dream my husband and I had to be living off the land, but now that dream has been put on the shelf as I don't want to be doing it by myself. Anyway, thank you for bringing hope and healing to so many who have lost a spouse or loved one. Half of me has died along with my husband and I'm learning how to live with a disability, just as you have had to do. But God....!!! In the meantime, I wait: > to let my heart find courage❗ > to be strong❗ > to find hope in His word❗ > to have one less tear to shed with each passing day❗ > to gain new strength❗ > to hear my cry❗ > to mount up on wings like eagles❗ > to believe and see the goodness of God in the land of the living❗ >to trust with my heart and not lean on my own understanding❗ > to wait and hope for what I do not see ❗
I found you and Joey by accident online just after she passed. I started from the beginning and binge watched all your videos. Your story made me feel something I hadn’t felt in years. Two months after I began keeping up with your posts, my daughter was killed. She and her children, (my grandchildren) were sitting in a construction zone on the highway. A distracted truck driver never slowed down and hit them from behind. I’m raising my grandchildren now. I know, without a doubt, finding you and your story somehow helped me get through the pain. It still does. Thank you for your simple stories that do more than you’ll ever know for others. Bless you and your family.
I read your reply and I agree, I love their story! I was wondering if your watched their movie, "To Joey, With Love"? If you didn't you have to go back and watch it, you can watch the full length movie on you tube for no charge! I have watched it over and over again and cry every time! Such a wonderful movie!!!! God bless you for what you are going through with your grandchildren and the loss of your child. My prayers are with you! I have raised one one of grandchildren since she was 4 weeks old and she will be 18 years old in December, under different circumstances, but still without the parents. It seems like only yesterday!! God bless you on your journey!!!!
I’m in NC. My grandmother had a 160 acre farm and raised ALL of her food except the sugar and flour. She even had peanuts and a large muscadine grape vine. She had chickens, cows and pigs. She had a huge vegetable garden. She cured meat in a smokehouse! Meals at grandma’s were organic, fresh and delicious! I miss it so much! Life was so good on that farm! Anyone who owns their own farm are so blessed! ❤️✝️🙏.
Gweneth Rogers My paternal grandfather was a farmer. I’ve had people look down their nose at me because he didn’t go to college like their grandfathers. I have incredibly fond memories of picking berries, green beans. Collecting eggs, that my grandmother held up to a light, and running from the giant turkey 🦃
I didn't grow up on a farm, but my mother did. They grew everything they ate except coffee and bananas. It was hard work, but so rewarding, to hear my mom tell it. They were from Wilkes County and I still live in NC. Diane in NC.
Jimmie Patrum - that’s wonderful! Sounds like my own family. My grandmother’s farm was in Chatham County and my mother was born on the farm. My family settled the area in the mid 1700’s and everyone in the area are cousins. The land has been passed down through the generations and we still drive to visit family down there. The whole area is still farmland. I’m in Durham so I’m only an hour away. You’re so lucky to have come from Wilkes County! I love the NC mountains! Beautiful area. ❤️
You and Indy bring me so much joy. Thank you, this was beautiful Rory. Such a sweet papa. Good luck with the chickens. The chick Hatcher was really interesting. Wish I had some land. Stay well and safe.🙏🙏💕
When things get too top heavy, they topple over on their own. This is the universe slapping us upside the head to get our attention. When my children were growing up, we had three Rhode Island Reds and a Bantey (sp) ? rooster. When we would all walk to the top of the hill to watch the sun set, it was our family of five, three dogs, three cats, the three chickens and Rodney the rooster, all walking the path. Fond memories. Thank you for this vlog. A reminder to slow down.
Bantam but hey, it doesn’t matter!! I grew up a farm girl too! Right now we’ve had to halt our search for land, I’ve been circling back around to my childhood but the virus is tamping down our house hunt. I’m bummed! However, it could be so much worse 🙏🏻 You made a point I’ve been lingering on the past couple months...we’ve just gone too far away from our humanity in society, everything is fast and half assed and I’m not getting into politics just SOCIETY as a whole. I’ve always thought it’s like a pendulum, we swing and we shift and once we hit an extreme end we swing back towards the center and I truly believe we’ve hit that high point so here we are, realizing how out of bounds things have gotten, how out of touch. I see a lot of people recognizing it but not enough to make a deep difference. We are a resilient and inventive species, I’ve got all the faith in the world in humanity :)
This is a great video! I hope to retire to TN in 10 years, God willing. Like Rory, my priorities have changed and I like to be with others who know what really matters in life.
I would love to meet Rory Feek and his family. We could learn so much from this humble man. He makes me want to sell all of my houses and buy 100 acres and grow chickens and gather my own food. What a blessing that his wife's legacy lives on through him and Indiana
Thank you for sharing with us. I thought while watching you are the 21st century version of little house on the prairie. I hope there will be more to come.
Thank you for sharing this! I was a speaker at the Homesteaders of America conference this past year and will be speaking again this year! I am so proud of Amy Fewell and the movement that is happening! We need to be in control of our food again! Can’t wait to see you this October 2020!!! -Kaylee
Thank you, Mr. Rory, hor sharing postive goodness with us here! God Bless you and all of your beloveds In All His Ways, For Always! Have peaceful, wonder filled days and nights!
Thank you Rory for showing what's "Right" in this world, I have come to truly appreciate your videos. Bring life back to what truly matters. God Bless you
I have loved all your shows, after I found them. I love Joey and Rory as soon as I first saw you. So sorry to know that your wife is gone, I related to her, she was so much like me, you was so much like the husband that the Lord took. I love all of you, and have married again, he is wonderful, but life is not the same. I miss all, nI had, but have a good life just different. Love what you are doing. G You are a woundfull man. Your story is so much like mine. Can relate and my love to you and Joey.
I just love your little girl, Indy. She is so much like her Mama. I can see Joey in Indy. I've been following you since the early days. You have a gift of capturing what the heart and mind feel and think, when we're struggling to find the words. I miss Joey. My heart aches that she isn't here to enjoy her beautiful daughter. Indy is so blessed to have so many kind, caring, devoted, and loving people in her life. So many people to share her Mama's love with her, especially her Papa. Bless you Rory. Bless you Indy. Bless you Joey in heaven. ❤️
I've watched them on rdf from the start. One program that instilled hope love and love. Never take anyone for granted. I watch but still feel her there. But that little girl. Is beautiful. God doesn't make mistakes. He just drops a diamond to very special people. Indy is a diamond like her Mama.
Ah, Rory!! I have to chime in and agree with Sandi Cooley!!! Indy IS a diamond -- and I have one of those too!!! ;) ;) Our MaryEl loves your 'little' Indy, and you and your dear Joey, so VERY much, as do I!! Our Mary reads everything in sight, especially her Scriptures and 'Little House on the Prairie' ... and plays piano so tenderly and expressively. We've wanted to be in touch, and to come see you folks, but our dear Papa went Home just 3 weeks before Joey, and since then, Mary and I have been so busy, trying to believe he is gone, and to manage life -- finding our way with our Lord's help. Our little family found you and Joey on the Gaither Channel in early Fall of 2014. We watched all we could find of you and your story as we fought for our dear Papa's life!! We also introduced our precious, almond eyed MaryEl to Roy Rogers and John Wayne that Fall!! Dinner with Joey and Rory, and the Gaithers, every evening, then cowboy shows, as well. ;) A fine time... until January, when a stroke and a seizure a few days later signaled that we would soon be saying Goodbye to our sweet stubborn, faithful Papa! As others have said, your music and your stories have given us joy, and helped us to keep taking one step at a time. Thank you for all you share with us, Rory!! May God be with you and yours, and keep you safe!!. I also long to get back to church!! This is such a strange time, but I am very Thankful that we know our God is still on the Throne!! Big hugs!! Nita & MaryEl ;)
Indy is such a beautiful light. I love the precious bond you two have with one another. After she gave you a kiss, before you went to make dinner, did she say 'goodbye honey'? How endearing. Love and Blessings, ~ Patricia 🌬❣🙏🙏🕊
I love your stories of life and love. You give us hope in times of tragidies. Never give these wonderful stories of your life with Indie , up. God bless you and your wonderful family.
"Bye, Honey". Gosh, she is adorable! Thank you for sharing your life the way you have been doing. We appreciate the calm mixed with the challenge to return to simpler ways.
I love this farmer Joe. Very wise when he talks about toxins and our broken system. Will check him out on You Tube. So inspiring and makes me hopeful. When he talked about the "aha" moment, I was doubly sold. He knows his stuff. Thank you, Rory for sharing him with us. And for that beautiful dance with Indiana...brought tears
This is so precious. You are a wonderful man. For me, I was able to take a deep breath and feel peace. What amazing good work is done. Rory, sending you love and prayers. Keep telling your story and we will all be better for it. God bless you and your family ❤️🙏🏻. Indy is a doll May God bless each and everyone of you that is effected by this pandemic and all else in this imperfect world.
Joel gets it. Life affirming vocations, something one is called to by God. Something that allows you to grow the world in a healthy sustaining way. God bless Joel, Rory and Indy.
Rory, thanks for the video, they always help me move on. I work in a grocery store in Wisconsin, every day the employees get to choose a song to play in the store before we open to try to help us through the work day in hard times like this. Many of the songs are okay but today it was my turn. I played Play the song from your first album, they want me to play it again tomorrow. Thanks for the great music and sharing your life with us.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful life and family Rory your such a bright light in these trying times we are going through God Bless you and your family🌷🐰🌷🐰🌷
You have a gift for story telling. Keep it up. Indy has a way of lighting up a room when she enters. she is so precious. God bless you and your family.
This is so beautiful and it is true a not many people realize where there food comes from. If we all looked at that and did are part the world would be a lot better. You have such a heart from God Rory. Love your story and the way you live your life. Such a blessing to be able to watch. God bless you two.
Rory i find it beautiful what you and the family and friend do for the Community and I send 🙏🙏🙏🙏 to you all while we are going through this difficult time prayers to everybody everywhere as well 🙏🙏🙏🙏
This way of life is how my ancesters lived. People used to farm, raise their families to be self-sustainable. It was hard work, but the rewards bountiful both literally and spiritually.
God bless you Rory, your story is so touching and beautiful. Your an amazing creator and father. Love watching your beautiful videos supporter for life.
Really enjoyed this learning vlog! To late for my husband and I to go that route... but glad there are educators teaching the young. My grandfather was a farmer in Southeast Missouri ... the Boot Heal area. That was all he wanted to be! Up at dawn and in at sunset and to bed early! Then do it all over again! (I laugh at the walking 10,000 steps a day theme) he walked many many more than that!🌹
What a great video. I wish I had a green thumb and was able to live off the land like this. Well since I wasn't blessed with that gift, I'll live vicariously through all of them
Rory,I have been a fan ever since I saw you and Joey on Can You Duet. My life has been so enriched and blessed by you, and the stories you share of your life. You make me want a more simple, slower paced life, filled with family, friends and God, and a farm to see the fruits of my labor. Thank you Rory.May blessings abound for you and precious Indy.
Pastor Joel is a brilliant man.... You both make an AMAZING Duo.... Watching Indiana helping you prepare the eggs for the incubator was So....SPECIAL And after a smooch she said "BYE HONEY" Too cute 💖💙🤗✝️ love, Love LOVE INDIANA'S Precious heart 💖🧸🤗 GBY ALL & your Families with Peace, Good Health & Protection ALWAYS.... 🙏💖💙❤💙🤗✝️
"Bye, honey....." Ooooh, be still my heart!!!! Lovely little Indy...you are such a kind, loving, beautiful girl. If this man isn't a living example of how Jesus taught humanity to be, then I don't know who is, imho. Everything from a place of love.. and I can't Thank You enough for the man you have chosen to be, Rory. May God Bless You and little Indy and keep you safe always..in Jesus name, I pray. Peace and Blessings..
With everything going on in this world right now, watching you and Indiana seriously calms my soul. No one else does that. So thank you for these videos and letting us be a little part of your family, on the outside anyway.
Best regards from Germany. I have known you for many years! Almost no contact for two years, then I was able to report again, and the shock; the family is smaller. I can only pray for you to receive blessings! And thank you, thank you very much for all the wonderful wonderful music (and videos about your life too). The Lord is with you!
Thank you so much Rory for helping us get a glimpse of the what if nobody knows. With God we will get through this our prayers go out to you and everyone. I loved watching Indy dancing and twirling and that big beautiful smile she always has she reminds so much of her mama Joey. God Bless you all.
I enjoy watching your videos. I have a son with special needs and your show brought back wonderful memories. My son was in all the therapies and it took him awhile to walk. So many people don't understand how lucky we are to have such a special child. Blessings to you all!
I love your stories Rory. You give hope and love to a broken world just like your beautiful bride, Joey. Stay safe and give Indy a big hug.❤❤
I wish I could be like you Rory, and not care about numbers in the youtube game, or self celebrity status, this is raw, pure, content, and it is so refreshing to see your beautiful family flourish and be happy.
Regan Brown - you can do it, Regan. Re-prioritize. A big reduction in stress will follow. Big hugs. 🙂👊🏻👊🏻
@@marys3127 thank you so much ma'am.
Mary S great response!
Rory, you inspire me every time I watch your videos. ❤️
Prayers to anyone and everyone affected during this harsh, and scary time.

I love it and watch it again Thank you Rory for letting us in on your life with your beautiful Family and Friends, be back soon
Indy is such a beautiful light. I love the precious bond you two have with one another. After she gave you a kiss, before you went to make dinner, did she say 'goodbye honey'? How endearing.
Love and Blessings,

I love this farmer Joe. Very wise when he talks about toxins and our broken system. Will check him out on You Tube. So inspiring and makes me hopeful. When he talked about the "aha" moment, I was doubly sold. He knows his stuff. Thank you, Rory for sharing him with us. And for that beautiful dance with Indiana...brought tears

LOL...good to see myself on this show...homesteaders of america was a great time!
Well since I wasn't blessed with that gift, I'll live vicariously through all of them
Sweet story, Rory! You're doing a FABULOUS job!
