I agree with you. When you love someone you want them to be happy. This goes in life too, but that in no way mean that you stay with a cheater, you don't. I’ve just become acquainted with Rory Feek’s story over the past week. The ‘I Do’, wedding song popped up on my UA-cam feed. And I was so impressed by the love this man expressed for his new bride in the performance of the song and wedding video. I didn’t know any of his backstory until the last few days. I loved reading Rory’s Love Came Softly, blog, telling how he and Rebecca fell in love. But I’m disappointed and concerned as I watch this interview. He only mentioned Rebecca once, and they were to be married only 24 days from then. But he continually mentions Joey. He talks about the importance of how he needs to live the rest of his life a certain way because of Indiana, Heidi and Hopie. But he did not mention Rebecca. I’ve been praying for her all week. I know it must be hard to let go of Joey when he loved her so much. But these videos are out there for everyone to see. It’s time to at least ‘show’ honor, respect and preference to his new bride who is alive, who is here and who needs his love and devotion…especially in this ‘honeymoon’ phase of their journey. Rebecca is making a huge step of faith, taking on a readymade family, living in Joey’s former home, having Joey buried on the property, being ‘compared’ to Joey by everyone near and far. I’m sorry. But this is Rebecca’s time to shine. Let’s hear more about this dear, sweet woman.
